So i haven't played for months, because i got very bored with doing act3 over and over again. Started again yesterday and i must say act1 is crazy fun!
Now i am curious what your farming routes are, not necessarily act1 though.
Currently i am doing:
ACT1
-Festering woods
-Fields of misery
-Wheeping Hollow
-Leoric manor
and sometimes i add in Halls of agony.
I'm not sure what the fascination with coming up with a good farming route is all about, especially since the patch upped the density in Act 1 to be pretty awesome. I'll start a new Act 1 game and think, "oki dokie, where do I wanna go first." Doing the same route over and over the same way, especially since most places got buffed, is a fast way to get bored of the route itself. But changing up the order can be pretty nice.
I do have to agree with some other folks that legendaries and sets seem to be dropping more frequently. I suppose that could be that post-patch drop rate we seem to have seen in the past, where high end items will drop more frequently for maybe a week or two after a patch, then kinda drop off. Not to sound like a tin foil hat wearer, I don't believe in ninja nerfs, but it does seem like pattern.
However, looking at it logically, it makes a lot of sense. Even if the drop rates for smaller, easier monsters was nerfed, many of them come in enormous packs! If their drop rates were the same, we'd all be seeing 5-10 legendaries per game, which I know, sounds awesome, but if some of these items are supposed to be tough to find, it'd make blowing through the item database a matter of a few hours one night and done. But logically speaking, more kills in huge clumps of 20-30 monsters at once? Hell yeah, that has to have something to do with it.
This weekend, I found a second Natalya's Chest and a Thing of the Deep (on my WD), and maybe four or so pieces I brimstoned. Pretty good haul! I don't know about anyone else, but jacking up the MP on my Plvl 48 Monk really gives me that "what's gonna drop this time" feel.

That's what it says in one of the loading screen tips, but...I don't believe it, ;-)
