This is the build I want to try out. I plan on playing a Demon Hunter who tries to avoid damage or kill things before they get to him. I am thinking I can spend more focus on defensive items to help vs boss fights.
-Intro-
This build is a Support/Tank Build and is mainly used for Disruption/Survivability
- Spirit Generation -
I gain 3 SPS + 2 SPS from Mantra of Healing - Circular Breathing and Chant of Resonance - Passive, also Way of the Hundred Fists - Spirited Salvo = 6 spirit + 15 on Proc. So spirit wont be an issue.
- Buffs/Debuffs - Mantra of Healing - 600 Life per Second 2372.5 per sec 3 seconds after activation. Guiding Light - Passive Will be always active giving my allies 16% damage all of the time. Serenity - Immunity for 5 sec - 45 sec cooldown (WoW paladin bubble (; ) Inner Sanctuary - Basically Immune to melee for 6 seconds, + 2966 Healing every second while in it. Resolve - Passive - Damage you deal reduces enemy damage by 25% for 2.5 seconds amazing to put on there best damage dealer.
- Items -
For Items primarily you will want a fast 1 hander + Shield (explanation below).
and building dexterity/Vitality for Damage/Dodge/Health
- Play style -
Play style is what puts the icing on the cake, This builds play style depends on who you're playing with.
This build would be great with a WD/Wizard/DH just for how much crowd control the whole team has, or if they're getting killed you can Cyclone strike the enemies to you. Also the monk needs to constantly be spamming Way of the Hundred Fists on different targets to spread the Resolve Debuff this is where the fast weapon comes in, the faster the hits the more debuffs you can spread, not only that but the more hits, the more spirit you'll obtain = more heals!
Side Notes Breath of Heaven = 25 spirit 15 second cooldown
Passive Spirit Gain = 5 Spirit Per second = 5 x 15 = 75 Spirit.
Will be able to use Breath of Heaven constantly off cd with 50 spirit left over
not to mention ex: 1.50 (attacks per second) weapon which would equal to (if you can attack without cc)
1.50 x 6 x 15 = 135
THEREFORE in a 15 second period 135 + 75 = 210 Spirit every 15 seconds.
you might be thinking "that is too much spirit", but NOPE Chuck Testa. Cyclone strike/Mantra of Healing are spammable abilities, only to be spammed when all my other abilities are on cooldown.
I kinda went a little far and put this build to a science, but meh i think it was worth it.
In Diablo II, I loved what would commonly be considered "aberrant" builds. Rangers and Tankazons were my bread and butter. My favorite character, however, was a Warsinger Barbarian named Singing Fool. Warshouts were oft-neglected as a viable primary Barbarian tree (and for good reason!), but Singing Fool was a blast to play. As he leveled, I took silly amounts of glee collecting gear that was traditionally reserved for spellcasters and bumping his Energy to maximize my mana for War Shout, until a funny thing eventually happened - Singing Fool became 100% Hell viable.
Through party buffing, enemy debuffing, and impressive tanking skills thanks to Leap Attack combined with War Shout's stunlock due to an insanely high casting speed, Singing Fool could leap into just about any situation without fear of death (though without friends, it was definitely a war of attrition).
For whatever reason, I loved the build and the playstyle; when I started playing WoW and was introduced to the concept of tanking, I was able to look back and see why - the combination of soaking hits, taunting my enemies, and buffing and protecting my allies was a huge charge to me - I found that making everyone else more awesome than they thought they could be and allowing everyone else to shine was a real charge for me.
Blizzard has talked a lot about supporting and enabling aberrant builds, and my new Singing Fool seems to fit the bill once again. Now loaded with defensive utilities that will allow him to be at the center of the fray, I've done my best to create a Diablo 3 "tank" in a game of all DPS-classes that still recaptures the essence of Diablo 2's Singing Barbarian.
Going to make a Whirlwind Barb with Call of the ancients, hope to get enough leach life and damage to balance out. Will have to work on defense accordingly!
Witch Doctor
This build features Firebomb as the main attack with Locust Swarm as a DOT/mana regen ability. Zombie Dogs for backup, Haunt for another DOT and Horrify and Soul Harvest to get out of tight spots.
I don't know if the build will work, but I love the idea of how I think it would would work.
Full support Monk, ability to heals others and yourself, ability to take huge amounts of damage while giving shields to your allies and debuffing enemies damage
- FRENZY I chose frenzy from those 3 primary skillls, because for me is the best dps for fury generators.
- RUNE Relentless for 2 reason, | 1 | i think speed will be important on this game (inferno) | 2 | to combo with my Wrath of the Berserker
- HAMMER OF THE ANCIENTS Best skill for Burst dmg in my opinion ( 200% + 15 % critical chance ) <-- WTF!
- RUNE Smash, i want to focus even more on dps for single target, main reason for bosses (270% on my critical build will be amazing) When HP bellow 20% i will just spam alot of hammerssssss.
- FURIOUS CHARGE Mobility, dmg, low cd, good fury regen.
- RUNE Merciless Assault, i realy need to explain? Its and amazing skills, i just want a way to spam it the entire day.
- WAR CRY I love warcry, best Monkey buff.. ops " BARBARIAN ", help u to survive and help your team with the bonus on 50 % armor that u share when your skill is active.
- RUNE Invigorate, dunno why but i think 10 % + on health with 890 regen per sec is alot, i belive that skills with that rune will have a huge impact on Hell and Inferno mode.
- OVERPOWER When i first saw a video with that skills a few days ago, i though " WTF!! I NEED THIS!!! ". amazing skills, " automatically reset CD if critical hit.. ( ON MY AMAZING CRITICAL BUILD ) another skills that most of the time ill probaly spam OP + FC. obs: my reaction after some killing spree with OP
- RUNE Killing spree, i like the 10 % critical bonus for 6 sec.. 9/10 great bonus for a skills that reset on critical hits, and will help alot to combo with critical gear + other skills like HotA.
- WRATH OF THE BERSERKER In my opinion one of the most strategic skills of zerkers, if you use it at the right time u will blow everything in the game, when u are on Wrath mode... almost nothing in the game will stop you.
- RUNE Insanity, why??? its not even a hard decision a rune that will double my dmg.
yeah yeah.. ( 15 sec of god mode )
- PASSIVE SKILLS
- RELENTHLESS My last stand + 50 % def will be a good combo because my warcry will be always active, and no cost on my dps spells. a real "mad dog" skill.
- RUTHLESS Ok, 5 % chance its a good critical for a passive but... critical hit dmg increased by 50 % WTF!!! cant miss it!
- WEAPON MASTER not on my original build, but after the last patch i decide to use it. ( 10% chance to critical hit ) yeah another great critical passive.
- GEARS
Most of my gears will be critical, and i will use dual axe for critical bonus with weapon master.
- FOLLOWER
- CRIPPLING SHOT I like the idea of 50 % chance to slow, nice support for barbarians.
- VANISH Maybe he can stay alive a little longer at inferno, almost impossible... but who know?
- POWERED SHOT Only burst dmg skills, low cd , great dmg with a 15 yard range ( not bad ) and some CC 50 % stun chance for 3 sec.
- ANATOMY And finally the reason i choose this follower, that skills will be used to combo with my critical passives and my critical gear.(5 % critical chance )
My last thoughs : 1 - its all about theorycraft most ppl dont event have D3 on pc. 2 - i belive there will be alot of good builds on D3, maybe even a Cookie Cutter build, who know? 3 - its Diablo man.. so u play what u like, i belive most of the builds ppl are posting on foruns will be viable, blizzard always create amazing games with balance. 4 - I made that build to play with my Monk friend ( double dragon style ), i never said its a solo build. 5 - Have fun, play what u like.. this is a game the most important is FUN!

I chose this build because I believe it provides a great deal of survivialibility. Bash with clobber rune for a one target stun. Frenzy with a truimph rune for a good heal over time. Threating Shout with intimidate rune for slowing enemies down and reducing incoming damage. Ingore pain with Ignorence is Bliss rune for those moments when there is a high damage spikes. Ground Stomp with deafening Crash for an area of effect stun for those times when one gets overwhelmed by monsters. War Cry with invigorate rune to increase armor a lot and a life increase plus a heal over time. Bloodthrist passive to gain that extra bit of life from damage dealt. Inspiring Presence passive to double the duration of the shouts and to add yet another heal over time. Nerves of Steel passive to increase armor by a good amount.
The point of this build is too get up close and personal with your enemies as a Wizard. No time to waste with the silly kite and run tactics.
First step is to get as much crit gear you can get because Spectral Blades with the Healing Blades rune is gonna be your go-to ability. You want to stay in your enemies face as long as possible without too much downtime. Healing yourself on every crit is important.
Secondly, since you will want to use Spectral Blades often, you want to opt for the most consuming arcane power spells. It does not matter if it is not energy efficient. You will just want to dish out as much damage quickly (the faster stuff dies the better right ?) and spam Spectral Blades to get yourself back to full for the next pack on the remaining straglers. This is why you want to use Arcane Orb (increase damage rune) and Energy Twister (with increase damage rune) since they both have the highest damage modifier !
Third, you will want to not get insta-kill so Diamond Skin and Energy Armor are a must.
Finaly, the passive spells used should be Blur, Glass Cannon and Arcane Dynamo. Blur and Glass Cannon will cancel each other out and net you a nice 15% damage. Since your gonna use that Spectral Blade alot, Arcane Dynamo is gonna full up pretty quickly. As a finishing touch, your elite spell should be Archon because ..... IT'S A FREAKING ARCHON OF DOOOOOM !
I haven't looked at the barbarian skills all that much yet, but my first character in D2 was a life stealing whirlwind barbarian, so as a tribute to that, I went with a ton of life stealing skills and whirlwind!
This is my pow-pow mage. Thought i'd try a mostly offensive build for PVE. Planning to play with a group of friends so building mosting power was my first concern. some survivability - but not much. pretty much as the build says - glass cannon.
To be able to achieve maximum dps on large groups of monsters.
In order to do well in Diablo 3 you will need gear composed of large amounts of mats.
Being able to quickly kill many monsters, you will be able to gather large amounts of materials and gear.
The build is used for people that dont want to party or at the moment dont have a party. You can pretty much kite anything with this build...
It has the DPS needed to kill anything quick be it 1 mob or 4+ mobs.. You shouldnt take any damage with this build. You will be soloing pretty much anything with this bad boy! Good luck to everyone and see yu all in game!
This is my build: i believe this build will be the most useful to people who his not confident in using the hot keys and playing solo or in a team. http://us.battle.net...Rgfk!gZU!ccccac
My reasoning: Left click- fist of thunder- thunderclap rune stone ( Generates The highest Spirit out of all the Spirit Generates) Right click: exploding palm- essence of Burn rune stone Hot key 1: cyclone strike- soothing breeze rune stone Hot key 2: Seven sided Strike: fulminating onslaught rune stone Hot key 3:Mantra of Retribution: Retaliation rune stone Hot key 4: Mystic Ally: Earth Ally rune stone (enemies attack my Mystic for 3sec) Passive skills are: Combination Strike, The guardians Path and One with Every thinng
This Build is Great cause i have converted all my weakness to strengths has a monk
I can use this method in a fight, Left click twice and right click once: this will a Teleport me to my enemy, deal damage and use exploding palm to finish.
If the fight continues, I do the opposite move with right click 2twice, left click once teleport and kockback enemys.
Then hot key 1 to drag in enemys back then hot key 2 for seven sided strike dealing holy damage and explosions 7 yards around the target. In this process i will have my Templar and my Mystic Ally taking damage from the enemies.
Cyclone strike, with the soothing breeze rune will heal me and my allies after the fight ( there is no Cool down for cyclone strike i can spam it much has i want, depending on my spirit). My Mantra will help me reflect melee damage and ranged damage .
Passive skills combination strike and the guardians path will complement each other and one with every thing will raise my elements for me to be have a chance against nightmare, hell and inferno enemies. This build is flawless
This build focuses on charging into battle and melee combat against multiple enemies on PvE with extremely brutality.
I like this build because it shows the concept of a barbarian that shouts, stomps and hit extremely hard on groups of monsters as well as make a great distraction for support players. It combines great AoE damage output with fast charging abilities and shouts with stunning stomps.
This is a wizard build that controls enemies with frost ray, icy meteors, black ice, and slow time... yet still packs quite a punch with electrocute and archon.
my reasoning for this build is very simple. I like rockets
Then vault to get around quicker so i can rocket more things.
Then preparation(not H) with the rune that will restore all hatred so i can rocket more things.
Might not be the best build, in terms of survivability especially for inferno, but it will sure be fun
