Boots favored by the elusive rangers of the Aranoch Wastes.
From The Lord Of The Rings, it is the nickname of Aragorn
I added some of these items but I left out Longstriders because I could not find enough evidence that they were referencing Aragorn and the Rangers of the North.
Mempo of Twilight http://us.battle.net...mpo-of-twilight
This is a helmet with the picture of a samurai mask. A mempo is also a mask that samurais so the connection fits. While I could not find evidence of a media reference, the description talks about how it was used by the last of honor-bound warriors.
The helmet of the last of the honor-bound warriors. He roamed the far east long ago and lived and died by his code of honor.

I couldn't find any actual evidence of them referencing that movie. If you find any, please tell me and I will gladly update it.
Well, the helmet LOOKS like the cover of the movie, and the quote says "The helmet of the last of the honor-bound warriors. He roamed the far east long ago and lived and died by his code of honor". 'last' is in there, they say far east (samurai) and code of honor, which is synonymous with samurai . IDK It seems pretty obvious to me =P
Man, I started watching The Last Samurai recently after moving to Japan, and turned it off quickly. What a terribly cliched movie, it's just cookie cutter bullshit.

Reading the wikipedia page and other pages, I get how it could but I would expect something saying that the Warrior came from the West. And a Mempo is the helmets used by all Samurias so that helmet looking like the one in the poster ins't all that much of a connection. I may add it as a possible reference but at this time, I feel that there is not enough evidence to support it.

http://us.battle.net...n/item/odyn-son - That is Thors Hammer Mjöllnir... Odyn Son = Odins Son. And Thor is Odins son. Also Thor is the Norse God of Thunder... so the flavor text fits too.
http://us.battle.net...g-gileads-sword - Its mentioned in the comments... Gilead is a Kingdom in Stephen King's "Dark Tower" books. (It could also refer to a biblic kingdom^^)
I just added Odyn Son and gave you credit for its find. I am not certain on the Thunder Gods Vigor though so I'll leave it out for now. I did the same with Quick Draw Belt though the description sure fits the Wild West shootout theme. I will be sure to do more research to see if there is any connection. If so, I will be sure to give you credit. Lastly, the Justice Lantern I also left out but not because I don't see the reference. I left it cause I feel that there could be a Justice League reference in there. I am not all knowing with comics so if you could help me pin the reference, I would be very glad.

The Hot Gatehttp://us.battle.net...em/the-hot-gate
Little known fact, Thermopylae is sometimes refered to as the Hot Gate. There is hot sulphur springs there that help with that name.
There is currently no description for this item.
Thanks to zerObit for finding this.
Just wanted to add that Thermopylae literally means Hot Gates, so it's not really a nickname.
Thanks for that tidbit. I thought it was just a nickname. It has been fixed though. Also hard to find that when majority of the websites are about the Battle and not the actual place.

Well your first problem is you are reading wikipedia >< Second it says east, where samurai come from. In the age of samurai almost no one even knew of NA or SA, so it was europe in the west, and asia in the east. Samurai horns, the mask LOOKS asian, the flavor text talks about the east, about how the mask was the 'last', and being honor bound which is huge in asian culture. The connections there i promise.

I wasn't just reading Wikipedia, which is still pretty accurate. I could be completly wrong about it and it could be a reference to the movie but the movie uses a US soldier and he becomes the last samurai. Thus I don't see the reference. If it refers to Katsumoto, then it isn't exactly the last one because Algren still lived. But at this moment, we'll have to agree to disagree.

I think Tenhi is right about the green lantern reference, I mean its a green ring, the description talks about guardians of Sanctuary with no fear and i am pretty sure one of earth's green lanterns is a part of the Justice League.

I'm finding nothing that really supports my Justice League theory so I'll add the ring. But it will be done tomorrow. I don't got enough time to update it at this moment.
Edit
The ring has been added and credit has been given to Tenhi. Please keep these finds rolling.
