I have just started playing some d2 again, last night in fact. I accidentally killed Baal in NM to early and was stuck in hell. It would be really cool if they like had some boxes at the bottom of the selection area, where you can check which difficulty of games you want to see while finding a game.
I'm sure many people have done what i have done at least once, and wouldn't it have been so handy to just check the Nightmare box and get back into those Baal runs?
Thoughts? - best idea ever i know (someone probably had mentioned it prior to this though ><)
Hati, not gonna lie your post is really confusing lol.
As for the OP, I'd bet that in Bnet 2.0 for Diablo there will be clear indicators of what difficulty the game is as your browsing games to join. There might even be an option as your talking about. I'd like that, mostly so when I'm in hell, and I feel like joining a NM game to haggle some goods to people I'll have more options at my finger tips lol. As for the rushing issue I think Hati is talking about, I'm 10000% sure Blizzard will stop that from happening, even if at the moment there is a clear way, during the BETA I'm sure it'll be worked out. There will always be the whole, high lvl characters helping kill mobs/bosses for low lvl characters, but I don't think that's a big deal..
“We act as though comfort and luxury were the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about.” - Albert Einstein
i believe the reason for that in Diablo II was to prevent high level characters ganking the lowsies.
Since that won't be an issue for Diablo III, a "filter difficulty" when you're looking for games wouldn't be too hard to implement.
Well Blizzard has confirmed a matchmaking system of sorts, where you get grouped up with people who are in the same area/difficulty/part of the storyline as you.
Hmm, I think if you could choose between Normal/NM/Hell and they won't readjust ; you could easily farm crafting materials ... which I think will lower their general market value | making alternates less attractive
Well its not like the items from level 20 will drop the crafting materials you need at later levels, so that won't be entirely the case.
im assuming with norm nightmare and hell, creating and joining games would be similar to d2? or am i wrong. and iff so im suggesting you should be able to chose what difficulty your looking for. So say you have completed norm, but dont want to start nm yet, and wana redo something, you can just click to see normal games.
I feel a little dumb with my last post as i was quite drunk, still am but not in such a roudy mood.
I had not heard the matchmaking system, and if i had i probably just assumed it was to do with PVP. I find it would be a difficult system in end game, when people would maybe want trading games, or mf games, or lvling games?
That's assuming that there are trading games, mf games, and lvling games.
Lvling games at end game are pretty much gone since everybody will be close to cap by end game. Trading games will also probably be gone with an improved trade system and the 4 player cap. MF games remain questionable but again it has been said that MF won't be as crucial and gear driven as it was in D2 so this could be gone to.
