So who knows how the 3 prime evils were spawned/created by the black abyss? and why hasn't any more greater evils spawned since them?
What if when the 3 are killed in d2 and soulstones destroyed, the energy from their souls are sent to the black abyss which would then have enough energy to create in the period of 20 years time the highest form of primeevil imaginable and with the worldstone gone once it is spawned it would have direct access to sanctuary.
Such a beast would have belial and azmodan quivering and bowing down in fear and loyalty instantly.

Interesting perspective, ive never thought about why nothing else came from the abyss.

Very interesting indeed. That would be so sick if some huge ma trucker came out of the abyss and started turning sanctuary into a living hell.
Hell yeah I could just imagine how much destruction terror and hatred this one being could put on sanctuary + the added help of azmodan and belial and their legions of hell as well......yum
from rainbows as shown in the beginning act to people parishing all over the place and an almost invincible demon who destroys warriors of sanctuary and even angels such as tyrael like theyre nothing. I'd like to see such a demon ripping angels apart.
Kabraxis from the Black Road is often reputed to be stronger than a Prime Evil. But it is unclear what he is up to now though. Also that book is not official canon either.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Doesn't the Abyss spew out demons and angels in such a way that it's pretty much balanced?
So if a great demon was created, wouldn't a angel need to be created also?
Or maybe it wouldn't matter because the energies being used to create the new demon would all be existing energies from the prime evils.
Hmm...
Yeah that was what i was trying to get at with my original post. would still be balanced because its energy from prime evils untill this demon unleashes its fury and destroys everything.

Well it'd be balanced because in theory all the forces on each side still add up to the same amount of energy.
The new being would be powerful but if all the angels came to attack it it wouldn't stand a chance.
If there is a new demon, I don't see it taking out 99% of Sanctuary. The hero of D3 will stop it before it can.
That wouldn't leave much room for Diablo 4 or a later installment for the series. Not if 99% of the world is dead and destroyed.
sure you can.
I for one would love to play a Diablo Game set during the time when the horradrum was trying to imprison the souls of the greater prime evils in the soul stones.

Yes it would... besides the post above of a prequel Blizzard could easily write out a plot that takes 100-200 years after diablo 3 once everything is rebuilt and back to normal and there are rainbows everywhere again lol. Would also allow for them to add a new experience such as different playable classes, new towns built over the old fallen ones. New lore of what happens in between...
New sequel. bam.
I don't like prequels. That's just me though I guess. Already know how the story is going to end.
As for a sequel 100-200 years later... ehhh.. What would demons and angels be doing for 100-200 years? Just hanging out?
Isn't that what they pretty much do anyways between games? I honestly dont care what theyd be doing in that time because Blizzard could just write out something to make them look like they were productive and brewing some great evil for hundreds of years to retaliate with.

Well so far the time between games has been pretty short.
D1 -> D2 = few months or so
D2 -> D3 = 20 years (hopefully they'll explain why even that long)
D3 -> D4 = 100-200 years? That'd take a lot of explaining considering the worldstone is destroyed now. So unless there is some reason the demons would sit back and do nothing for 200 years I don't know.
I can't imagine it taking 200 years for them to formulate a attack plan.

The first are prime because they are the eldest of all of the others.
Hence the word 'prime'.
I may be wrong, but write a letter to Blizzard and ask them.
This is mostly what I believe.
After the first... is just all the rest.
You can't have a 2nd set of firsts unless they are the firsts of an entirely; newly-spawned batch of evils.
lol
Make any sense?
I see what youre trying to say but I dont see the relevance as to why there isn't more greater evils being produced.
The Abyss is constantly spewing out demons and angels for the Great Conflict, but only the eldest on both sides hold any real power.

Hardcore
E-Sports
Yeah untill something charges the abyss into spewing out a new super great all powerful demon.
So if a great demon was created, wouldn't a angel need to be created also?
