Every game gets old, every game reaches an end to each individual, in time. If you play too much, the game gets old.
I remember getting burned out numerous times during my many years of playing Diablo 2. I'd quit. I'd take a break. I'd play again and, inevitably, the thoughts of 'what to do now' always came back until I finally hung it up for good.
All there was to do is trade items back and forth, do some MF runs, gain some XP doing Baal runs. Maybe some PvP in between runs. After awhile, the shine wears off and so begins the rigor of realizing that all you're doing is repeating the same actions over and over again just to better prepare yourself to repeat the same actions over and over again.
Have fun, play your own way. Stop chasing cheaters and unemployed slackers. Stop predicating your Diablo 3 experience entirely upon your success on a dubious leaderboard.
4 years and I'm still having fun. I still come home and often sit my ass down, smoke a bowl and play Diablo 3 for a few (several) hours. 4 years now, and I gotta say, the game is more fun for me now than it ever was. I don't play as much as I used to, but when I do play, I have more fun nowadays than back when the game was lousy with underwhelming itemization and lackluster build pliability.

I agree. For a 4-year old game with a single xpack and no subscription fee, D3 is still amazingly good.
I don't play continuously, but I tend to return at each season beginning, spend about a month completing the season journey, and usually carry on for a week or two before boredom sets in (or, in season 4's case, until my HC pet doctor got nuked because I've gotten a tad careless).
Is the game perfect? Nope. Is it getting richer with every patch? Yup. Every suggestion that might improve the game, or endgame, or lack thereof, is good to take, and should probably be taken directly to Blizzard. On the other hand, feeling entitled to this or that kind of endgame will only lead to failed expectations and disappointment.
There is no other ARPG with the style, polish, and panache of Diablo 3. Not to say there aren't compelling reasons to play the hell out of several other ARPGs, but Blizzard led the charge with D1, and has continued to push the envelope that all others follow since.
Sure there are many, many more things that could be done... and, based upon their history, ostensibly WILL be done... but to say the end games sucks is myopic and crude.
Ex. Create a leaderboard for the highest kill streak in a cow level, leaderboard for the most gold collected in the Vault, special vanity pet if you kill 1 million zombies in October, etc.
1- Factions with reputation that unlock pets, transmog, upgradeable gear, wings, legendary gems, heroic dungeons, etc....
2- Removal of the paragon system or diminishing returns once over 800.
3- More diversity with primary skill options. Rather than having skill elements, have them all be "Normal" damage, and allow an item that amplifies the skill into the element that we want. Essentially Augmenting gear but for elemental damage type in order to run the build you want, and the skill you want.
4- Lastly, re scale of torment difficulties. Instead of adding Torment 11-15, just make T10 equal GR60, and go down 5 levels each torment, and the base difficulties match up with GR1-10.

diablo 3 ros end sucks as always. Same thing pick a class gear it up and and try to get high on the leaderbored. even with seasons game is still boring. do greater rifts over and over again just for exp since the cube can gear you up easily. end game is always 1dps and 3 support pfft everytime. I reckon there should be more stuff to do for players, cause new maps are not going to help <_<. there should be a reason to grind not only for exp and gear but like new passive/skills you can unlock with paragon points. so you can create more builds and have something to grind for.
Boredom aside I really like that latter point. Paragon points becoming a skill currency assuming there's a mainstat investment cap? taloncarry2 I task you with fleshing it out to be something meaningful! I think that message will be worth spreading.
