-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Gah. Why don't I have a scanner? I need a vector drawing program or something...
EDIT: Not to leave empty-handed... This is created in Silo, a 3D-modeling suite, Model+Coloring, not textures. Is that legal? If it isn't, I'll put it off.
Anyway, Sidhe Jeel Short Glaive, for my imagined Diablo clone game...
BTW if any of you are considering resubmits talk to Plastic COmplex, this thing is his baby.

i like your bow best, but it misses some texture and overal colors.
I know, but it has no textures at all (it's all raw color), because I can't make them, my Photoshop skills are close to 0. That's why I'll never make my dream Diablo clone game which this bow is for...
you plan on making a diabloclone?
i want to make a simple topdown (iso 2d) rpg or hack&slash, do you have sugestions on simple to learn programs?
Sort of. I'm designing it. Classes that I will have, leveling and attributes distribution, skills, basic interface, skill interface, storyline, graphics programming, attrib programming... It has some differences, but it is majorly based on Diablo II. The world is ripped of heXen/Heretic, but I mixed it all up so that I will have all 3 bosses at the same time.
Mine is going to be 3D, if it ever is going to be, because 3D is simplier to program, and I really prefer to make one model of a sword and its animations and plug it in rather than draw each character with that sword at different actions and rotations... Not to mention that I don't feel like with dealing with grid algorithms, gah.
Programs? Well, it depends on how you want to do it. I plan to program it in C#, or, if I will be able to handle it, C (C++ sucks both ways). C# is very simple, like Visual Basic, but it is more powerful and it has all you need to make games. I have a .pdf that explains how to use Managed DirectX for C#. I wasn't able to handle it back then, I'm planning to do that now, though... If you want a simple language, use C# or Java, VB just doesn't make sense. Do remember that these languages allow for no greater graphics than those in Chrome, which is made in Java... And for programming, you need either Visual Studio or just a compiler + text editor.
If you don't feel like learning a programming language (unless you already know one), maybe you can try some of those game making programs: http://www.gamemaker.nl/ http://t3dgm.thegamecreators.com/
Obviously, you can just p2p any of those.
I used a game making program once, it does work, and it does make stuff simplier, sort of, but if while you program you are battling the code, while you use the program you battle with all the scripts, I prefer to battle with code.
yea 3d is easyer (but if your not that good at making things in 3d -im not-it will look like shit haha)
to bad im not good at scripting or code, but i am a fast learner.
thanks for the links.
Well, I can always helf you with models (not textures, though, yet) under these circumstances:
you have the detailed image of what you need modeled, top, bottom, left, right is primary, or you can give a detailed explanation of what is it going to look like. Or if it's very simple, like a weapon.
I suppose you are good at drawing then, if you plan to do it 2D?

edit: i like the third pic on the gamemaker site
I just don't see how using a program is better than actually programming, now that I have some knowledge. All I need to do is learn the 3D library, threading, some method/constructor stuff, applying arrays to controls, etc., and that program will become totaly useless...
I wonder if Diablo 1's source code is available? It is the same age as heXen or Heretic and DooM, and those have their source code open to the public for years now.
EDIT: from the site: "And when you've become more experienced, there is a built-in programming language, which gives you the full flexibility of creating games with Game Maker." - well, that's pretty handy.
i made this via tablet, tried to stick with the d2 graphics - but can i plz have a t-shirt?
I thought you made it via Neverwinter Nights Map Editor.
lol yeh i thought it looked familiar, also this is weapons not armor.

pretty meaty sword.

and if i can redu, it wouldnt be a brand new sword, the same one just on a larger scale
lol yeh i thought it looked familiar, also this is weapons not armor.
