Please feel free to add your methods of dealing with the champs and how you deal with them. What CD you use, build, etc.
Maybe I missed it, but I do not see a section on the forums for a strat guide. So I will throw my 2 cents in here for the champs and modifiers I have encountered so far. And how I dealt with them.
Type of mob: Mortar - stay within melee range use CD and kite only when needing time to heal and CDs are not up. Waller - generally, they leave a gap on one side of the wall if not burn a defensive CD run through the middle Vortex -Save Defensive CD for when you are pulled in or keep moving at all times Jailer - Keep your distance unless mixed with mortar, then burn CDs on melee range
Immune adds - Stack them, kill leader burn cds in melee range then kite Electrical - find the sweet spot. Just like in D2 the electricity comes out in waves and if you get in between the littel bolts you wont take electrical damage Avenger - Kite, kite, kite.... Rediculous damage. Arcane Sentry - Distance or kiting is key to these. This gives you a chance to see where the sentry is dropped Molten - stay out of puddles on the ground that look red. LOL generally they trail behind the mobs Shielded - Burn defensive CD and burn eventually the shield comes down and they die. Chains - Shared life? Cant remember.
The worst combinations for me have been Avenger with any other mod just because of the damage they deal.
A note to melee: most of my damage is done in melee range with a CD running. Otherwise I am running away not getting to put a ton of damage on the mob.
I was getting destroyed by a Vortex/Molten/Fire Chains pack last night. There are just some combinations that are extremely deadly. 4 pools of lava with the fire chain damage was just too much.
In regards to chains, do not let the champs surround you and don't let the chains hit you. I kite them until they are grouped up in front of me, then engage them. When they split up and try to surround, get out, rinse and repeat.
