This is what i think Diablo 3 should be like... sorry if this in the wrong place. Please move if so.
Do you guys agree with me on these?
1. No more elemental absorb for PVP
2. A auction house
3. A actual currency for once
4. Rare items being the best. Like randomly generated mod items. The yellow items in D2. Being able to get Rares that are better than uniques
5. Uniques and Set items still being in the game
6. No more teleport for every class. Exclusive to the Wizard
7. A loot system you can toggle in PVP or a wager system like where you can wager items and the winner of the duel gets them
8. The implementation of a arena
9. No more mules, better storage
10. Being able to PK should still be around somewhere
11. A hardcore mode should be kept
12. No bind on pickup (I think thats already gone anyways)
13. Plus to skills need to be kept with synergies and no skill cap just like Diablo 2

1. Elemental resistance is nice because it forces the players to collect more and more sets of equipament. D2's cap (75%) is fine, the problem is the large amount of items that brake this cap. But if you are not talking about resistance, but damage absorb, then i couldn't agree more. More then 75% resistance is, 100% if terrible, absorb other's damage is a joke.
2. I'm not a fan of AH because it takes out the viceral and intuitive aspect of negotiation and add a more technical one. A in-game forum with a good search tool is good enough imo.
3. 100% agree with this. Currency is such a primal aspect of the economy that i can't really imagine how D2 "worked" for so much time without one.
4. In one side, if rares are the best, and they are almost impossible to be double dropped, everyone will have different loot, then we have a huge customisation. However unics and sets have a important lore aspect of the game into it... Imo the best solution is to make a really large amount of unics pluss add some randomisation in the unics.
5. Of courses. And set should be easy to drop (imo normal>magic>set>rare>unic).
6. Enigma was a big of a epic fail. Im sure it won't happen again.
7. Nice.
8. Sure. A more organized pvp is needed. But it should be completly different from wow's arena. PvP should never ever give rewards. Because rewards leads to a random match system, and thats very pathetic imo.
9. Muling suck. A super large storage is nice.
10. I feel that diablo is not the right game for pking because it's a host/room game, not a mmo.
11. Hardcore is nice. But the softcore should be harder then in D2 imo, expecially in normal.
12. BOP sux lol
13. Here I totally disagree. D2 skill system are very fail. +spell/element damage mods is so much better then + to certain skill mod. Also synergies totally ruin the most fun builds of D2 at the same time it brought the most boring ones... And its prety much confirmed we won't get synergies.
1. I don't think they should take it away completely, but weaken it a lot so it's no longer overpowered
2. I want one too, just not sure how it can work in a non - MMORPG
3. That's number one on my list (:
4. I like the idea of rare items being powerful, but not always better than uniques. There should be some really rare uniques that are crazy.
5. Agreed.
6. Enigma was cool at first, but then everyone had it and it was the new way to walk. Teleport = wizards only please.
7. Sounds good, and this would be a lot more fun/easy if the currency actually means something
8. Like a PvP arena, or the type a made a thread about http://www.diablofans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18701
9. Same
10. Of course
11. I never played it much, but a lot of people love it and it would be awful if they threw it away
12. I remember seeing something about BoP's not being in D3..
13. Eh, might be the only thing I realy disagree with you on.
Pretty much agree on every point but the +skills and synergies.
Synergies = most likely the passives now
+skills should be dealt with something else, like from items or gems or such. Just give us items with +% fire spell damage or something and passives will deal with the rest.
1. Resistances sure, but not as much absorb, it was pretty overpowered.
2. I'm all for this idea, you should check out deathmars's thread on this, its got a pretty good idea for a better trading system.
3. I liked the the D2 style of currency, the user created economy was so much fun in contrast to games like guild wars where you had to grind and grind and grind to get anywhere. If we do get an actual currency in D3, I'm worried that it will lead to the game becoming one massive grind..
4. You could get ones better than uniques in D2 original, even rarely in D3. I agree with you on this one though, randomly created rares should be more powerful.
5. If they take away sets, I will cry...
6. Yeah... I really feel that teleport for every class ruined pvp.
7. YES ! Pre-duel ante would be incredible, I've wanted some kind of wager system for so long.
8. An arena would be nice, and again I've gotta point you towards deathmars's thread on this, yet another great idea in there, I'll post a link http://www.diablofans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19157
9. Agreed, bigger storage would be nice. You should check out Eastern Sun for this, they used an infinite stash for their game and it worked quite well.
10. Yeah, while I hated getting PK'd, it just wouldn't be diablo without the occasional pk'er.
11. Agreed, hardcore was the shits. I loved it.
12. Eh, I actually like the bound pickup, it would get rid of the problems people had with douchebags using pickit. If blizzard actually makes an effort to keep out hackers though, an unbound pickup system would be preferred.
13. Eh... I dunno about that one. Synergies fucked over many of the good builds in D2, and made boring ones (fireball sorc, hammerdin, ect) even MORE viable.

Absorb does need to go away because it ruined elemental classes and thats what I was talking about not resistances. Resistances need to stay so Elemental classes are not over powered.
I do not know why everyone is so against Synergies and + Skills. Thats what made Diablo unique to WOW and other MMO. Synergies was awesome because you couldn't make your char have everything. For example to be a good ice orb sorc you had to put a good majority of your other points into synergies and couldnt just have all those extra points for something else.
+ Skills also helped because you could make your Skill more powerful than other peoples instead of everyone having the same build at the same power level. It made it to where my FOH could be better than someone elses because mine was level 40 with max synergies while theirs was level 20.
Synergies was awesome... for example my friend had a Lightning Sorc that used Charged Bolt as a main skill because of synergies it got really powerful.
I'm against synergy because it ruined part of the D2's gameplay. My first character in D2 was a necromancer with Bone Spirirt, Poison Nova, Corpse Explosion, Fire Golem and Iron Maiden. He was very fan ebcause i was allwasy alternating my skills, never sticked around with just one. Nowdays most builds are centered in one skill and it's synergies. Really, look at the necromancers builds. Only the bonemancer have a diversified gameplay ALL the others builds have a lame lame lame gameplay.
The +skill instead of +spell the same thing. Instead of improving all your skills at once it improves just some of then, leading you to concentrate all your effort towards one skill.
I dont like the idea of the AH. Diablo3 is going to be to fast paced to have to stop and post some item on an auctionhouse.....Then they are going to have to add a mail type system.

Ya but having no synergies leads to less builds :(. Like you said you like being able to use a bunch of skills but than that leads to everyone just powering all the skills up and using all the same skills.
With synergies you had to focus more on YOUR build. You could not just power everything up because you had to drop points into synergies..

So wait... you want Absorb in PVP so that elemental type characters are complete garbage but yet you do not want every char to have teleport?
Does not make sense... if your going to make elemental garbage anyways than you might as well give all chars teleport while you are at it.
Absorb was the stupidest thing in Diablo 2 PVP it ruined it. Made sorc suck because you would just put on your sorb and rofl.
