Hey guys I was just wondering if i could get your guys professional WD opinion. Currently I an using Burning axe of sankis with my current fire build. I was just wondering if you guys think i should switch to another weapon such as the echoing fury(or another weapon) to get the best results.
I'd link my profile but i need 10 posts before i can create links.

I don't know much about WD, I made it to 60 and parked it, when I find something he can use I switch back to see if its an upgrade, anyway here is the link for your toon http://us.battle.net...95/hero/1684275
Sankis + fire skills = awesome. There are many skills to choose from so you can use it to great effect: Blazing Spiders, Flaming Dart, Firebomb (Ghost Bomb ftw), Searing Locusts, Burning Dogs, Explosive Beast, Tiki Torches.
I was going for one of those myself, since Ghost Bomb never leaves my left-click, but couldn't find a cheap decent one.
So i settled for a 985 dps sword with added poison damage, 150+ int, some % weapon damage and a socket for that crit gem. Nice attack speed, decent damage, bought very very cheap. Works just fine.
Sankis is a sweet budget build that will net you some solid damage. It will eventually get outpaced by crit hit / damage gear, making a socketed weapon with some crit damage on it superior if DPS is equal.
Sankis is nice and i have soloed entire hell (im always farming to 60 in act 1 hell ehem) and inferno act 1 HC with it.
But from my HC view there are only 2 weapons i would use for late game (unless you find some insane stat "normal" weapon) and those are either Sky Splitter or Last Breath.
Why? Well simply becouse they have 500+ hp regen which is awesome. WDs survival is heavely based on high hp regen along with high hp pool utilizing Blood Ritual and Healing Journey.
We dont have any "prismatic armor" or "one with everything" or "impunity" to make our resists and armor go sky high - we got only what we get from gear itself (and enchantress) and thats poor. The only real survivability-boosting-gear-dependant passive is Blood Ritual as i said and if you decide to go this way, you rly need hp regen on basicaly every piece of gear possible.

Don't forget that he may be playing softcore, especially considering that's what the link to his profile says.
In softcore, I know survival is often ditched for damage because a death isnt all that punishing and if you can clear 10 packs and have 1 deaths in 5 minutes or clear 10 packs and have no deaths in 10 minutes, softies are often happy with the 10 packs 1 death.
So, judging by that I would say Sankis is a great weapon, and you may do just fine with it for a long time, and eventually trade it up if you find something more appealing to you or if you want to try different play styles.
The most important is to enjoy the game (If you play hardcore you could consider it most important to stay alive?)
