Unfortunately some of the nasty affixes or 1 hit from a mallet lord /strong melee attack will insta kill you. This was observed with 200m (like 4k physical def) toughness + unity. Also since you playing season and you have henri's offhand that makes me think that even the mojo is not enough.
Going with unity will set your dps way back unless you try a really defensive cc build of your choice including obsidian ring.
In going for my 60 solo achieve, I tried a few rifts with CoE, and constantly failed due to random one-shots from things like frozen, thunderstorm, etc. I switched to unity and cleared it instantly. Obviously it could also have been that I got lucky with the rift type, but who knows?
Personally, I think unity is better for a very specific series of rifts from somewhere around 57-62 (ballpark). Before that, the mob damage is not high enough to warrant it. Once you hit that section, the mobs are doing enough damage to one-shot you, but you still have enough damage to clear it without the CoE. Once you get past it, however, you're into the area where every single DPS number counts, and using unity will put you too low to be able to clear. Plus, the mobs may start doing enough damage to one-shot you even through unity.
At that point, it becomes all about fishing for map/mob types and learning to dodge EVERYTHING. Which, don't get me wrong, sucks ass. But that's what separates the top 0.1% of players from the rest of the top 5%. The rest of us just don't care enough to put that much effort into it.

Yesterday i tried a 60 Grift and almost everything oneshot me.
So i was wondering if a Cubed Unity + Follower with Unity would give me a significant better survivability?
Any expiriences in 60+ with and without Unity?

You would lose your coe dps buff. I run two defensive gems and i need a good rift to finish. You could try 2-3 offensive gems and unity.
Thats the problem im having currently (aside from lag). Either not enough dps or get one shot by mobs. So i decide to fish, which gets old fast
