Vault>Tumble and Tactical Advantage gives a massive speed boost to the efficiency of moving around and is good for creating distance as well.
I really like the synergy of the multishot rune with vault + tactical advantage, movement speed is kept at a very high average when you can refill your disc bar by firing off a few multishots into a group of enemies to keep on vaulting.

The damage for bosses leaves a little to be desired so depending on torment level/if i can be bothered i make one/all of these changes for single target (and ambush instead of cull the weak for belial):
Entangling Shot is a weak generator- our aoe spells are as weak as our single target, so pick an aoe generator at least. Impale, once again, super single target....we have to go out of our optimal way to be good at single target. This is a very high single target dps skill...that you specced into making a 3 person mediocre spell. At least pick Grievous Wounds (130% extra crit damage) and use it for what it's good for.... the occasional boss fight.Try a Fan of Knives replacement with the Hatred cost rune- it slows so it'd benefit from your Cull talent.
Vault lets you get out of the way, but that's it. Smoke Screen (breaks cc, acts as an invinc, drops aggro) + Tactical Advantage is a gamebreaking combo that you should be using instead (15% heal with Smoke Screen rune). It also lets you stand stiil and continuously empty Multishots for Disc, Prep, Multishots, etc. Tactical Advantage gives you the speed you need to move when you need to.
Take off Steady Aim, with the difficulty increases there's usually a creature of some sort within 20 yards of you. I used to play with it too until I ran with my character pane open for two hours and noticed I didn't have great buff uptime as something inevitably always hops on you when fighting an actually sizeable group. Perfectionist is a nice toughness boost for DH.

100% agree. I only use steady aim when doing boss fights that require kiting and I know they won't close easily (Kulle, Magda, etc.). It's worthless for the rest of the game because of mob density.
I've tried all the hatred generators and for me personally the control of Entangling combined with the damage bonus of cull the weak works best for my very mobile play style. I have multishot for aoe which in the situations i use it is effectively free anyway. As i linked i usually go Grievous Wounds for boss fights but i would hardly call 10+ million crits on 3 targets (spread up to 40 yards apart) for 20 hatred mediocre, i feel Ricochet is a very underrated rune.
I guess it's a difference in playstyle as well for steadyaim/vault vs smoke screen, i love playing mobile so do have the buff up most of the time especially maintaining snares on everything (each Entangling will refresh duration on all previously snared targets). I agree that Perfectionist is a solid alternative choice as well though, i use it occasionally on 5/6 when i don't have a tank with to get a little more toughness.
But Entangling is a very low damage ability...plus it has a target cap. Cull the weak is wasted here, because adding 20% to poop is poop. Culling is to be used in sync preferably with large damage skills (Cluster Arrow +++)
10+ million crits on 3 targets is indeed very mediocre when cluster Arrow frequently hits for even more (napkin math, 630% against 770%, so like 11m crits?) and in a 12 skeleton sized units area if you know how to manuever your mouse into the middle of the pack. Ricochet is underrated because any running Impale is playing a Derp Hunter.
Mobiilty is nice, but we're there to do damage. We're not the tanks that have to gather and tank everything. Face it, we do the most damage when we stand still and spam generators, spenders, generators, spenders, and cooldowns in between. Smoke Screen breaks cc, can be runed to heal, drops aggro, a million other things, and allows you to stand still.
These are just my thoughts on optimizing damage, which just in my opinion equals fun. I actually really liked running a fan of knives spec with a preparation - punishment and Night Stalker (disc on crit hit).
Your multishot build isn't bad, I'd just suggest replacing impale definitely, and consider replacing the arrow generator

I've found it's very strong vs regular mobs with very high disc regen for punishment preps and ricochet impale works great against elite packs.
