Hello everyone! I just made my account here today, and am excited to be on this site and part of the community. I am currently playing a DH on Act 2 inferno, and thought I would share the build and ones I'm considering for thoughts from you guys so I can fine tweak them etc.
My current build is http://us.battle.net...TXQV!aeY!abZZab which I have found works very well and is very fun to play. I use entangling shot w/ chain gang to kite and Elemental Arrow as my primary damage. Note that I am using the screeming skull rune on Ele arrow, I found that it works great particularly on elite packs and when you can get the enemies in a narrow corridor. I am not sure about how the rune works specifically however. It feels that enemies get feared much more often than 40% of the time so I think maybe the fear is AoE upon proc and can constantly trigger since the ele arrow goes through mobs. The bat is great for more hatred regen particularly so that I can do more multishots and ele arrows. My playstyle is really a lot of shoot and scoot style kiting. I love it, it's very exciting and the ele arrow is so fun to use because I can feel completely OP keeping elite packs from shooting mortars etc because they are feared.
A build I am considering is http://us.battle.net...TXQV!afY!YbZZbb where there is a lot more hatred regen and discipline regen for more SS, Ele Arrow, and Multi shot. I do however drop the reduced cost rune on multishot for the 1 disc per mob hit rune which I feel may be more important to get SS going, since I am not using chain gang on Entangling shot. Perfectionist over archery, but I don't know if it's needed yet.
I have some questions about some runes that would really effect how I make my builds also, I wonder if you guys have any experience with these runes to share?
-Elemental arrow with frost arrow rune. I'm not sure how many mobs are hit with the slow. The higher damage seems good. If this rune happens to be effective, I may put this in for the build I am considering so that I am able to spam slows without having to use hatred generating abilities while I still have hatred just to slow. In this case I might also drop entangling shot for hungering arrow w/ devouring rune for higher single target damage, or shatter shot.
-The spider rune for the companion ability. The tooltip states that the spider slows enemies for 2 seconds for 60% reduced speed. I assume this is like the spiders in act 1. How many of these slows can the spider do at a time? Is it an effective kiting tool comparable to caltrops (as they are both environment based slows)?

Edit: I am also thinking about a more single target oriented build which I would only use on those fights if I don't have or want the nephalem valor buff (aka I feel I need to switch to kill it). I am still using entangling on it, but with justice is served for more hatred regen. They way I have the build is so that I *could* use it to get the nephalem valor buff (which could involve aoe and kiting) meaning it isn't a pure single target build. For that I am considering dropping entangling shot for hungering arrow with devouring arrow rune and dropping multishot for mark of death with the rune that gives 3 hatred per attack: http://us.battle.net...TXjV!afY!YZZZYb. I still like perfectionist, SS, prep, and tactical advantage in it though. But I might drop perfectionist for archery.
