Hi guy's I have made an extensive video for beginners learning the Crusader class. I hope you enjoy and if you have any feedback or suggestions I'd love to hear them!!
- Bombardment as stated in the video was just a filler ability for farming bosses or solo rifts. (Steed charge for Mobility in groups/bounties etc)
- If you use Steed charge you only have holy/lightning in the build. This build is based around Provoke: Charged up hence the title! How charged up works is 50% of all the damage that minion takes is dealt as lightning damage. This doesn't mean half your damage becomes lightning damage, it means 50% is added on top of your 100% regular damage. TLDR the only other damage dealing ability is heaven's fury and provoke turns that into lightning damage.
- Another reason behind this is Akarat's Champion/Rally rune. All damage dealt during Akarat's champion has a chance to reduce the cooldown of all your skills. With Provoke adding a whole new set of damage based on what you are already doing increases that chance. Another reason why the Heaven's fury with Blessed ground works. With provoke you have 2 sets of dot's that can reduce the cooldown of all abilities. Throw in some item's like Fire Walkers, Andariel's, Pox Faulds, Schaefer's Hammer, Thundergod's Vigor that all get affected by Provoke and they can all reduce your cooldowns. Against's Elites and bosses you will put out a high amount of damage.
- To close my response, my friend runs a mod called TurboHuD and when we do Rifts together, I average 90Million DPS and Peaked at 515 Million dps during burst. I hope that helps to clarify everything.
Why bombardment? Why lightning? Why 3 different damage types? Why Righteousness? Just don't see what's going on with all the various and spread out skills.
Just doesn't seem to be in sync compared to most any other build that focuses one element.
