Earlier today i cleared grift 55 solo with 4 minutes time left over. I tried 60 and surviving was no isseu. However the damage is lacking and also i only came across maps with corridors and hallways and no big open spaces.
The goal is to achieve this on my seasonal barb Mars.
Apart from obtaining a hellfire amulet for an extra passive what do u guys think i should change, upgrade etc?
Area damage is still bugged it seems.
Not sure if profile is full uploaded, but i am using unity (chd48%, chc 4,5%, ED14%) and coe (489 stre, chd47%, chc 6%), diamonds in all slots, stricken, gogok and teaguk as legendary gems and scoundrel as buddy for extra dps
Ancient Weapons, PE gem, and just look for great density map and some good pylon.
chainer explains that if u dont have enough attack sped on gear u should use gogok for more dust devils. It helps keeping wotb and ignore pain up all the time

hm why poison gem or is that needed for 60 rifts now ordid i miss anything ? i think u should use taeguk, gokok and bane arent those the 3 ideal gems for a barb even with those a 60 rift as ww is a challenge even good density...
And i think hellfire is bad it wont save u really, use a maras and the other amu i would go for either azkaranth or the arcane immunity nothing better then having no damage taken by 2 elements and if u get a boss on either of those then its alot easier.. hellfire is so overrated.

PE = pain enhance gem with blood damage and as. However i get more attack speed and thus dustdevils from gogok and it also gives more cd.

Only way to get 15&as on gear is to equip waste gloves without vitality, but that would also decrease my life regen

You only need it on Bracers and 1 Ring. Why would you need it off your gloves? Get a CoE with IAS/CC/CD or cube convention and use Obsidian Ring.
Im actually messing with pure area damage and no CDR just paragon/helm. Almost cleared a 70... bad level 2 was just scouting level 2 for like a minute and had no packs i could really fight to be worth.
well i dont have rings with as on it, i have it on bracers and i have 2 pair of gloves, one with as and one without. so in order to loose gogok i switched gloves with as in. Tried and no problem surviving, still lacking damage though.
Have you tried IK 6 + 2 Wastes Rend build? I know BK/Wastes is starting to dominate the top of the leaderboards but I have tried all 3 of the popular specs and by far the easiest to beat a 60 for me was the rend spec, the damage seems much much higher and is doable without a great rift.
I didn't have any lucky pylons or great mob density and 60 was fairly easy, I was around Para 570 at the time. I'm not entirely sure how people are even reaching 70 with the BK build as it seems lacking in damage compared to the others, unless you're relying on a godly rift to fully exploit tornados.
Specific advice, your gems are really low level and you don't have a Hellfire neck, level your gems and make Hellfire necks until you get a good one.
I've experienced what you're talking about in group play, we had a rend barbarion (running pain enhancer) + I was playing HOTA with pain enhancer in a 67 Grift (3man) and it was impossible, it just lagged for eternity, but in solo play I've not been having any issues. Both Rend and BK/Wastes seem to be able to go above 70, but perhaps your lag issue is also the reason more of the top players are moving away from Rend.
I've not tried going above 60 in solo play as I pretty much always play in groups now, but when I was soloing I didn't experience big lag issues, only really happens in the 65+ group rifts, especially that one 67 we did where it was completely unplayable.

Also, you really don't need that much HP(granted im running war cry atm) I only have 740k hp doing 70s.

Somehow in Rend spec and hota gear? Bnet armory is so weird.
My WW gear is basically the same except my pants and gloves are better than my IK ones and my BK weps are 2715 with 24% AoE each.
