How did they get such insane dps? I'm running a 2h barbarian, almost full legendary (missing helm and chest) all from Torment difficulty. T1 is very easy, but I'm only on 500k dps.
I remember reading about some players who were near or at 1mil dps even at lvl 60.
Do I get better gear by going higher Torment difficulty? I can't see myself getting much higher dps since as I mentioned earlier, I'm already geared in legendaries.
Well I have a 115% crit damage gem in my 2.8k dps The Executioner. 31% crit chance. I go for dps skills and still, I'm on 500k. I surely can't triple my dps if I get rings with damage and a bit better gem? http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Hemaphrodite-2837/hero/1619464 The skills are not correct so it shows lower dps.
By maxing their offensive stats anyway possible. Socketing their gear with gems that give + to their main stat, massive amounts of crit damage and then just getting crit chance, attacks speed, etc. on all the items.
I have 750k damage on my HC Crusader and he's in semi-tanky gear with around 15-16M toughness. I have around 43% crit chance and 463% crit damage. I could get him up to a million without any trouble if I socketed my gear with Rubys instead of Diamonds but that would significantly lower my survivability in the Torment difficulties.
Your profile show no crit damage on either rings or the amulet. You can get 50% on each ring and 100% on the neck, that alone should boost you a lot!
Though you might already have that because it appearantly doesn't show enchants.
I don't.
But I guess that I should wait until I get interesting legendaries and then enchant them instead of replacing these with yellows with +crit damage?
Legendaries cost a lot to reforge, yellows don't. Legendaries will cost you forgotten souls for each reforge and in some places even flawless imperial gems, while yellows only take deaths breath and the yellow and blue crafting materials. Oh and also a lot of gold in both cases if you take to many attempts on the same item.

31% crit chance is pretty low.
You can get 10% crit from gloves (as well as attack speed + crit dmg), 10% crit from amulet (as well as AS/crit dmg), 6% from helm/bracers/rings (rings can also have AS/crit dmg) and you have 5% base crit. So you can get 49% crit without passives/skill buffs/followers.
I will see if I can change around my character a bit. I think I'm doing fine, at least on Torment 1, but I have not tried higher difficulty. I was just wondering what's with all the 3x my dps players.
Thanks all
I just bumped my wiz to 1.74m dps with a nice glove/helm upgrade. But really, as others have said, you want.... Main stat, crit, crit damage, attack speed. That's how you boost it, I use boots, chest shoulders to boost my survivability, currently only sitting at about 5m toughness, can boost it to 9m by swapping two items if needed.
the way I did it, was the way we did it back in vanilla which was just crit chance + crit dmg on every slot got 65% cc and 530% chd atm and just roflstomping everything.
Atm i've got 1.1mln dps, 14mln toughness, +15% whirlwind damage and +40% fire skill damage this is with shout buffs.
