Anyone know what will happen to the people who got D3 via the Annual Pass promo? D3 is not my main game yet I'd like to finish getting to 60 at least on someone. Will we be cut off on access if we don't buy RoS? Have to start paying per month? If so then I want to be ready to un-sub as soon as I would need to. My budget only allows for one game and WoW is my game of choice. Anyone heard anything about this or know from past experiences what will be done in this situation? Thanks in advance for any info.
I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. However, you keep your digital copy of D3 once the Annual Pass had concluded. Considering the fact that D3 has been out for over a year already, you will be able to continue playing D3. But, you will have to buy RoS if you want to play the content included in it.

I don't always burn. But when I do, I use hellfire.
As long as your Annual Pass agreement was met on your end (meaning you paid for the entire year of WoW), your copy of D3 is yours forever, figuratively speaking. You can continue to play Diablo 3 without the expansion, but any content that is in the expansion will not be available to you.
I don't know what you were saying by "Having to start paying per month". Diablo 3 has absolutely no monthly costs, that you got the annual pass or not and neither will Reaper of Souls. In general, only MMOs have subscriptions, and D3 isn't one.
Annual Pass holder here.. have stopped playing (and paying) WoW for quite some time now and I'm still playing D3.. not sure what was you question as you NEVER had to pay a monthly fee for D3 'cus it does NOT have one. Diablo is a standard game as you only need to buy it and play it.
Ah okay. I only started playing D3 with the annual pass. I thought there was a monthly fee like with WoW on it. This changes things a bit then. May consider getting RoS just to continue the story. Want to see what it's like to fight Death. You know, don't fear the reaper and all? TY for the info and straightening me out on things.
