Sorry I don't have a better contribution, but... That's awesome! Good eye! I guess that since his building's on fire, we know how he met his end.

i would choose my own religion and worship my own spirit, but if he ever preached to me i wouldn't want to hear it. i'd drop him, a forgotten god, languishing in shame; and then if i hit stormy seas, i'd have myself to blame.
So, even if it is him, it's quite doubtful that he was alive at the point when that picture was... erh... taken. If it even is him, that is.

It has been said... that in the end of all things... we would find a new beginning. But as the shadow once again crawls across our world... and the stench of terror drifts on a bitter wind... the people pray for strength and guidance. They should pray for the mercy of a swift death... for I've seen what the darkness hides!
... I don't think it's safe here.
Hoping for Pink Chain Lightning in D3!

Yeah, but he was a good man (back in D1) before Tristram burned, then the next time we encounter him he's a zombie version of himself in the ruined Tristram of D2. I guess if you ever wondered, "Hey! How'd he die?!", then now you know.

I could be wrong but that looks more like the Cathedral than the Blacksmith. I know it's where the Blacksmith would be, but it doesn't look like the Blacksmith.
Of course I'm at work so I have my sound turned off I can't hear the actual dialogue, I don't know what's being said. Just throwing my thoughts out there.

EDIT: It does look like Griswold though.
He's holding a hammer, so I assumed it was Griswold.
That is an interesting find. I've also always wondered why Griswold was the only person in the town who was raised as an undead while everyone else was just dead. What was special about him? Was it because he was the strongest person in town? If his zombie form was anything to go by, that certainly worked for him as an undead.

Mmm, it definitely looks like him, with the hammer and the general 'round' shape of his body, eh?
Good catch. Its obvious that it is Griswold. This is Tristram burning and there's a fat guy with a hammer in his hand watching from afar with no shred of humanity left in him... Thats Griswold alright.
Looks like I wasn't the only one to get this idea. I like mine better if only because I was able to get the Diablo 1 Tristram music in the background
As for the topic at hand.. You kill Griswold in Diablo 2 after he's zombified. Sadly it's been so long I don't remember the exact story. Griswold might help.
Meh, all the wiki says is "Upon the town's destruction, by the fury of Diablo, he has a fate worse than death. He is turned into an undead abomination."

Just watched yours, pretty entertaining haha pretty damn good impression
I have to apologize, I didn't realize it was yours, I thought you found it. I only just noticed the avatar image and put 2 and 2 together Had I realized earlier, I would have mentioned right away that I thought it was put together well. I didn't realize there was music at first, had to listen closely, but that was probably because I had to use my cellphone to see it (the phone speaker sucks, TBH). That's not a bad thing, though, as a subtle ambiance is best for something like this.
I'm glad the Cain impression has been received well, I debated on doing it for a long time. I didn't think it was very good (we are our own worst critics) and I knew it wouldn't be for everyone. Thankfully, this is the internet, and here we are 2 people with the same idea who went about it just slightly differently If one of our styles doesn't work then people have the choice of the other.

Keep up the good work :Thumbs Up:
Thanks man, appreciate it! Ambiance was the goal with the music

NOTE: In Diablo 2, Griswold is NOT holding a hammer.

You too, cheers.
No. It's just an installer splash image. It's just a depiction of the fall of Tristram. You're reading too much into this.
