SWTOR is fun until max level then it's just the same old MMO song and dance. PVP or raid. Good amount of content for a brand new game, but not enough people playing or enough features to make it fun. Can't get a group together 90% of the time because people aren't playing or are PVPing instead.
Gonna play Skyrim and my ps3 games I've been neglecting.
Just wishing for a beta key every day =/ But I recently upgraded my compy, so maybe the new specs will get me a key. It would be about damn time considering I've been playing Blizzard games since Warcraft 1 and have never gotten a beta invite... but now I'm just being bitter.
Well beta access would be icing on the cake, however in the start of march Mass Effect 3 will be released. And that would be a very good bet I think! I have played both ME1 & 2 and enjoyed them both, so im looking forward to number 3 as well
Not sure if you have yet but the multiplayer demo is pretty fun, I have a level 20 and a few 5's but i got worn out on the same two maps repetitively.
Now is the time to eat well and keep fit. Because once the game comes out our well being will plummet. 8-10 hours at the desk due to work and an additional 8-10 hours of diablo iii at home will mean one must be in peak physical and mental condition =)
Or one could just play in moderation once the game is released but we all know that isn't going to happen.
Im surprised you havent mentioned guildwars in your list. Another I have played off and on as well to kill time has been fallout 3 and fallout NV. Of course we could mention more obvious being diablo 2, or better yet diablo 3 if you have been fortunate to get a key. Hats off to all whom had gotton success there! Other then that Im still hoping and trying for a key in the meantime as well for something to do.
Guild Wars 2 have opened sign-ups for the closed beta. Yeah it's another beta sign up lottery, but what the Inferno. If I don't get a D3 beta key at least I have the chance to beta another game that looks like it may be good. Probably not awesome but still.
I signed up for GW2 hoping I'd have the same luck xD
I'm going to keep this thread going to help people who haven't gotten into the Diablo 3 beta or have and need something new to hold off until release date. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.
Good luck to everybody getting they're own beta or killing enough time to actually play
I can highly recommend learning to play the guitar. Any instrument really. It's really not hard and fits very well with gaming. Keep the guitar close and whenever you're bored just reach over and practice a bit more. You'll be surprised how quickly you can improve ones you get past the first couple of chords and start to learn songs. There's a huge variety of songs out there that only use 3-4 chords.
I started teaching myself basic chords from diagrams, using my grandmother's guitar about a year and a half ago (at age 27, music is not just for teenagers) and now I'm good enough to learn pretty much any song on the fly if I have the chords on paper. (Can do stuff like 'tears in heaven' too but that takes a bit longer). Also got a Ukulele just for fun and can play the basic chords on that too.
Find someone that'll lend you a decent guitar and try it out. (A shitty guitar makes everything harder, don't buy the really cheap stuff). On an acoustic, getting slightly thinner strings can help with your fingers hurting at the start. You'll soon get callouses and it'll stop being painful.
A great guitar player is just a bad guitar player that never gave up.

I've been through playing a lot of instruments but i do have to say that was pretty motivational lol. If i haven't already played guitar and drums then I would have definitely gone to try it.
Thanks though and grats / gl on playing

This semester I have 14 assignments. The free time I do have I play Skyrim or Anno 2070 or enter D3 beta key comps.
Once the release date is announced I'll be able to plan my remaining time.
