SWTOR CE is $150. I'd say that's the cap and most of these gaming companies know that they won't get enough copies sold if they go any higher than that.
It's cheaper then it was originally gonna be(was gonna cost 120), but It's still kind've expensive, since this CE Isn't much more then every other game's CE(which usually cost 80 tops, and even that is a little high in most cases for what you get).
It's not "too" bad(120 would've been a major ripoff though that's for sure). More or less they are charging 20 bucks for the USB drive, so I would say it would come down to how much you want that, and how good you think D3 is/is gonna be(I want it bad personally, but if D3 doesn't show a big step in the right dirrection, I can't warrant spending so much money).
Perhaps you didn't see the ******* "usually" before that.
Also that doesn't change the fact those few you posted, are insanely overpriced, so what's your point again lol.
My point is that Collectors Editions are USUALLY around $100, and in fact $100 is a low ball for MOST CE's.
No they aren't, you posted 3 games, well guess what, there are hundreds of CEs that are 80 or less(if you looked at a list of games that have had CEs, 99% of them are 80 or less), atleast while they are still being sold at retailers, once they go out of print, then people sell CEs at such prices, but they don't go for such prices at release.
lols. CE costs around 150dollars in sweden, so no thnx to that. while you can get D3 for 48dollars. wonder why CE is so freaking expensive here...CE content costs more than the game! -.-
Yikes that's crazy, I wonder why It's so expensive there.

Assassins Creed: Brotherhood CE $100
Batman: Arkham City CE $100
Bioshock 2 Limited Edition $100
God of War 3 CE $130
Grand Theft Auto IV CE $150
Dragon Age Origins CE over $100
The list goes on and on and on. I'm not saying there aren't $80 CE's, I'm saying that it's more common to be around $100.
Most of the $80 CE's are really, really lame IMO, usually a soundtrack or "behind the scenes DVD", a few trinkets, and a soft graphic novel/hard 50 pg artbook. $80 Star Wars Force Unleased 2 had (collectible steelbook (case for the game), Starkiller 2GB flash drive designed by Mimobot, digital art book. In-game content)
Skyrim's CE is basicly the same as D3 but $150 gets you a better much more detailed model, artbook, behind the scenes DVD. An extra $90 for that is way too steep, I'll grab an even better model from the mall for $40/50 (not that I need more crap), then it's $40/50 for and artbook and DVD wtf.
Eh, this is my first CE I preordered, usually don't preorder, and never really consider CE's. I'm not much into having extra trinkets laying around, artbook is ok, flashdrive/diablo skull is ok - it better light up, angel wings are pretty sweet, bluray and dvd behind the scenes sounds interesting.
It's worth an extra $40. If I see the original for $40 or $50 somewhere, I'll probably go back to that. CE stuff isn't worth $50 or $60. I know in probably 6mo to a year after release the extras will just be sitting in my closet in a pile. I've been looking at the Diablo 3 12mo calander, and am deciding against that because while I'm hyped now, july next year I'll be wondering why I don't have a Starcraft 2 heart of the swarm calander, lol.

Completely agree. The only CE I know of that is $80 on the PC is Mass Effect 3. Almost everything CE released this year and most of last year were all about $100 at least.
This is an added benefit if you also want the World of Warcraft® Annual Pass Link
What if I purchase the Diablo III Collector's Edition?
If you decide to purchase the Diablo III Collector's Edition when it's available, and then choose to add your Collector's Edition license key to the Battle.net account associated with your existing World of Warcraft Annual Pass promotion, you will receive all of the benefits associated with the Collector's Edition, plus receive four months of World of Warcraft game time which is eligible towards your 12-month subscription commitment. After you purchase the Diablo III Collector's Edition you just need to input the product key into the Battle.net account associated with your World of Warcraft 12-month commitment and that account will then receive the next 4 months of World of Warcraft game time for free. For example, if you already had a month of game time on the associated World of Warcraft account when you input your Diablo III Collector's Edition product key, it would then be 5 months until your next subscription payment was due.
I have an active subscription already. What happens to the time I already paid for?
Any qualifying subscription time remaining on the account at the time of accepting the Annual Pass offer may be applied toward the 12-month subscription commitment.
For example: If you had started a 6-month subscription 2 months prior to accepting the Annual Pass offer, 4 months of your remaining subscription time would be applied toward your 12-month subscription commitment.

i think cause it's only available in US normally? so they need to import it or something. it's available on amazon.com but that just ships in US? it's not available at amazon uk anyways.
in any case, i wont be getting it then
i'd want it for the bonus DVDs and art book, Tyrael wings would be neat too ^^
Amazon has branches in Canada, and UK(I think UK has one) as well. That's kind of crazy though(I import stuff all the time, and never had to pay such a blown up price). I can see if it weighed an insane amount or something, but for a game/any media format for that matter, that's so expensive(sigh it costs so much extra, you can buy an extra game for that kind of money).
To the post on insane price hykes: Hm, that's I can't help but notice, most of those are nothing more then over hyped titles(Assassins Creed seems to be the only game there even worth a fraction of the hype it has got).
It seems like only the companies that spend more effort on creating hype, then creating the game, have these insane prices on CE.
i dont think it wil be 70€ it will be 100$ and 100€ pretty sure about this
Wha... what, if this is the case, and I lived in the UK, I would boycott everything Blizzard. What greedy ********, charging other countries more dough, because their money is worth more then the dollar. Infact people should report Blizzard to the BBB for running a scam.
I never heard of a company that didn't go along with the conversion rates of other countries.
PS. It's dumb, greedy **** like this that promotes private servers, and hacking in general.

..i dont know in UK, but here in Greece where i live, its not the company's fault... it's usually the local "sharks" who do that to stuff that they import...
I've seen that done alot with anime importers(where they increase the price, just for the hell of it), but the ting is, we aren't dealing with importers here, Blizzard is releasing the games in the UK, to be sold in retail stores.
Seeing how retail stores in the US don't even pull that crap, I find it hard to swallow that retail stores in a country that actually functions, would do that.
yeah but as stated by Livevil and Vagelis4V its mostly on the retailers part and as always it sucks to live in europe especially germany considering all the censored versions we get here...
but on the bright side we have boobs and are allowed say fuck and shit on television
edit: oh yeah and we make the best beer in the world
Yea, I always found it funny what kinds of things are cencored over there(the US has almost the strictest cencorship in the world, yet they don't cencor some of those things. Also yea, you can say stuff on tv over there, that would make the government go apeshit if said on the tv here).
Can anyone confirm whether the pet will be account bound? I don't play WoW and it will be a shame if it can't be used. Besides $99 is a bit too much for me and would want to recoup some of my money (also, anyone know about how much the pet would net if it is sellable?)

I agree with feminism. I don't think that it's right that for every dollar a man makes, a women gets 70 cents. Why do I only get 30 cents and some chick gets the rest?

Diablo III: $59.99
Diablo II: $14.75
Diablo II LoD: $16.75
Average 4GB Flash Drive: $2.00-5.00
Average 24-Song CD: $12.99
Average Blizzard Art Book: $15.99
Average 2 Disc Blu Ray Extras: $14.99
Average Flash Drive Dock: $9.99
Excluding the in-game items, as well as how amazing all of the physical products will look, that already adds up to $148.45. You could even exclude both Diablo II games and it would be worth it, financially speaking.
However, if you don't like music or art or seeing how things are made, don't buy it. Simple.

It's not the local stores that charge that much for the games, it's Blizzard. These are the prices when i would buy the digital version of the game from the battle.net store:
SCII: 59.99 euros
WoW/DII/LoD/WC3/SC: 14.99 euros
And these are digital versions directly from blizzard... (i'd expect this to be cheaper without box etc)
Good thing i had a friend working at a game store so i could buy SCII for 40 euros. I must say i don't like how we pay much more in Europe than other parts of the world.
Yep, just as I thought, thanks for the confirmation(I knew it was highly doubtful the retail stores would've been the ones responsable for such pricing).
but this still is not entirely blizzards fault its just how the industry works...sadly
The fact a digital copy is being sold for full blown retail price(there's many games I refuse to by, because there's no physical copy, and they want such a price) is how the industry sadly is, but the fact it costs more in another country then the US counterpart, is so Blizzard's fualt.
Also in addition, most retailers assume the publisher of a product does the conversion when giving the recommended price.
It's all Blizzard's fault for recommending it be sold at X price(the fact they run thier store this way, only goes to prove they are the cause of such).

I'm getting the collectors edition and my brothers getting the electronic copy so he can install of my discs and play straight away.
I'm going to assume that it will be a midnight release based on American time, which is approx 4 pm for me in West Aus if I remember correctly.
I think it is defs worth it for the usb, artbook and potentially wings/dyes.
Sorry for being off-topic, but buying Anime is so ridic its not funny. $50 for 12 episodes with shitty dubbed voices in a 50 episode series. Please.
