One of the only things I didnt like was the fact that money was useless in Diablo II. what was the point in having it besides buying some potions? Money should be worth more and should be a necessity in Diablo III. Trading shouldn't all be about items.. it should be about money too. Idk if anyone would agree with me on this but i'm open to comments and suggestions. Thanks guys.

agreed, gold was only for repairing your armor. lame-o
Yeah I only used gold for potions, portals, and identify scrolls mostly. It would be nice to see something that makes you interact with the characters a little more on items, plus pricing should reflect their ethics or lack their of as well instead of one price wherever you go.
It would also be cool if the NPC merchants had a healthy diversity of varying intro's when you went to see them, a lot of games seem to miss that point. It also seemed to me you could get rich really too easy in D2 although my wife is always broke in that game, (shopping you know) funny how fantasy frequently mimics real life.
Well, gold was mainly for potions and repairs. They could add some new mechanics to the game that could like rate like your economic status. Like you could buy a house in the towns like in Elder Scrolls 4. I really don't mind the fact that gold is meant for just potions and repairs, but it would be interesting if they added new economic game mechanics; it would make the world feel a bit more real.
I agree. I would enjoy it if it was like guild wars. Where your rich depending on your amount of gold and not your gear.
That's because in GW the best gear is simply the most colorful. In other words, in GW, gear takes the place of gold as being the useless thing. In Diablo nobody cares about money because the only thing wroth getting is gear, and you can't buy that, so what good is money? I agree that money should be given a value, but the only way to do that is to create some way for money to be useful in getting uber gear -- such as item buffs that can only be acquired through purchase.
I couldn't agree more. We have our own real life Diablo unfolding now, wise people will learn what a Kondratieff Cycle is and then will perhaps understand why real gold and silver is a good thing now, because our money doesn't have much value.
Sorry for the :offtopic:, it was too good and opportunity to put that out there, kind of related in a odd way.
why would you want a credit card scheme thats just crap. its not gunna be like a runescape game is it were u can buy your in game gold is it. (please say no)
