The video interview with Richard A. Knaak is now live for download. Questions submited by members of Diablo3.com were asked and Knaak answered them the best he could. Find out what happened when the interviewer pitched some Diablo 3 questions his way. http://www.blizzplanet.com/content/729/
Here is some of the transcript -- apologies. It might be inaccurate since my english ain't that great. Corrections are welcome.
16. With the last book of the Diablo: The Sin War coming out this month, could you mention new characters or special events which fans should look forward to? Fans who have followed the previous books or which are about to start reading them.
Knaak: There are some events in the third book of Diablo the Sin War that I think will surprise the readers. They may not be expecting some of the things that will happen. Specially toward the end there. And I think that when they see the path of Uldyssian's fate and we got his brother, Meldeln, what he's following. There is going to be a few surprises for the readers in the final chapter of the story. And outside that, about new Diablo novels, we are still discussing things in general, so I have to hold off on any specifics.
17. Any new Diablo novels planned in the horizon? -- by Aerisot
Knaak: Well, I'm in the process of ... I just finished working on Diablo: The Sin War Trilogy, which introduces the groundwork for the Diablo world, and we are discussing the possibility of doing some more Diablo. It is at a stage too early to say what, but I hope to continue working with it, and I think you will be seen more novels, not only by myself, but from some other writers as well. It's still a very popular world. And there's still much to explore.
19. Siaynoq asks: I'd be very interested to know if we'll ever find out more specifically what Trag'Oul is? The possibilities as well as implications of his existence drives me nuts. But in a good way.
Knaak: Yea, there is a lot about Trag'Oul which is very fascinating. The more we touch upon it, when I was writing the trilogy, the more interesting he became. And I certainly, if I do more Diablo novels, I will try to show more of the elements about him, because there are more about him than I knew at the beginning..
20. Diablo fans have been awaiting the announcement of Diablo 3 and lately getting hyped enough. why do you taunt us with new tales of Diablo. Do you like torturing us? -- by Shere Khaan
Knaak: (laugh) ... what's wrong with torture? Ahh, believe me, I am as eager as any of them to see a Diablo 3. I am writing the novels because:
a) I enjoy doing it.
because Blizzard has asked me to continue doing so.
To me that means - as I said earlier - that it's not a dead world, again ... no pun intended.
21. Fans from the Diablo3.com community hail you. Any special message you would like to tell Diablo fans in general, who have read all your novels?
Knaak: Well first of all, I appreciate that they have been enjoying the stories, and I really enjoy writing them. And all I can say is that I am as eager as they are, for another installment of Diablo.
I don't know if this was just my computer or the high-def version but I can barely understand what either are saying because of the great amount of background noise.

Dream as if you'll live forever, and live as if you'll die today. "James Dean"
Yeah, there was a bit of background noise. I listened to it with my headphones on so I was able to make everything out okay. There will probably be a transcript of the interview though.
If someone feels like submiting a transcript, everyone will appreciate it. Or if someone with audio tools wishes to grab the audio and clean it up (without video track). that would be useful for 56k users and anyone who wishes to listen to the interview without the background noise.
It was a big event in Slovakia. Istrocon expected over 4,000 visitors. As you can see it is an open campus and they were using big sound speakers.
I cant remember, is that you interviewing, or someone working for you?
This was a fan who contacted me recently about Starcraft: The Dark Templar. He happened to read my newspost announcing Knaak's tour through europe. Kazo told me he lives few steps from where the Istrocon event would take place in Slovakia and volunteered to make a video interview with Knaak if I wished to.
I agreed, and gathered questions from the community. He interviewed Knaak on Blizzplanet's behalf since he is a blizzplanet visitor. Good it worked out.

Thank you for answering my question so quickly and thank you for posting the interview it was a good watch
eventually, we are gonna get something out of this man, and sadly that will be the same day he gets fired.

He can't get fired for anything he said on that interview (that I could understand) He answered all of the questions very respectably if anything Mike M. would be fired.
The one who giggled like a lil girl when asked about D3 I believe.

Hehe, yeah. Those Blizzard execs did a much worse job at evading D3 questions than Knaak.

Edit: Cool, looks like they asked No Ex's question. He really stammered on it too. LOL
Ooh, you asked my question about Trag'Oul as well. Thanks!
That was way cool. Kudos!

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
From what I've heard they are everything I would love in a novel.
