Hey again. So I've geared up a good bit more, and on my general archon build I have close to 200k dps buffed. I can do mp2 speed runs pretty easily, and mp3 too tho I die sometimes, especially if I lose archon.
That's not an issue, I feel like I'm doing pretty well on that part. But what I would like to ask is, is there any possible spec that is good for the higher mp levels (5-6), for like key farming and ubers, that ISNT a CM build?
So basically just looking for any spec besides CM style that could work with standard archon power gear for high mp levels; or maybe there just isn't. Outside of archon everything is just so squishy =/.

At the moment, nothing else seems as optimal, at least not solo anyway. If you play with a full group including tanks like barbs, you can run kiting builds and rely on skills like Venom Hydra and Blizzard to dish out the majority of your damage. You can also play support in groups, using skills like Mirror Mimics, Frost Nova and Wave of Force (really fun actually).
But if you plan on running solo and high MPs, right now CM is the most ideal way to go.
I tried some of them, but most don't work on high MPs unless you have godly gear, and even then you'll probably be significantly slower than with CM. But if you want diversity and don't mind being a bit slower, you should definitely try them out.
Hmm bummer =/. Figured there weren't any since there aren't any threads on builds besides archon/cm nowadays (though I did do that blizzard rush build to get up my paragon levels, that was a lot of fun), but was worth a shot. Thanks =).

Oh, hey, my username shows up on that list!
Edit: Ew, they're using info from a very old and outdated thread where I posted a measly 37M EXP per hour Archon run (before Scramble-port Archon came onto the scene).

They're constantly updating that thread, you can see if you go through the builds that they have annotations about "outdated" blabla and the last edited date is 11/27. It's by no means exhaustive, but it's a good point for starters. I think it would be nice to have such a compendium here though, we have quite a diversity of builds here and some people who could feed data into such a thread, such as video guides, theorycrafting stuff and experiences with insane WTFBBQ DPS. ;-) Well, maybe next year.
Damn, so much offtopic, so quickly to add something to Aedelius: if you enjoyed Blizzard a lot, try to create a build around this. You would need lots of EHP and patience, but I think it could work. I just don't like Blizzard in D3 because it doesn't stack anymore like in D2 :-(

Btw, do you still plan on updating your gear guide? Would be a shame if not. I actually thought of creating a very short and concise thread like this here: http://diablo.incgam...t-in-Slot-Items but obviously your guide has much more information. This list is very effective because it's kind of a "TL;DR" version of your guide and actually contains 95% of the recommendations that people showing up here could need. There's also a very nice barbarian thread here: http://www.diablofan...rno-difficulty/ - I like that style a lot, it's got a lot of text but just the right level of detail that you actually need.

Oh, I didn't check the following pages to that thread. Oops. As for my guide... I would love to sit down for a couple of hours and go through it. But if you want, you can update it for me and add it to your own :Thumbs Up:
I think it's already been said but the main issue with higher MP isn't the spec so much as the EHP or ability to survive. With enough EHP virtually any build will work, though it's likely they'll be outperformed by the SNS build (CMWW with shocking aspect and diamond shards). It's the same at lower MP in that virtually any build will work, provided you can survive, it just happens that Archon is highly efficient compared to most.

you can try with a spectral blade build if you don't like CM build. Currently i'm able to do MP9, and this guy is doing it on MP10
