Why this build does not use Fetish Army
This build utilizes the 2pc bonus for only 15 fetishes that spawn from your belt of trans. This means you get 15 x 3 = 45% Damage Reduction (DR) instead of 69% if you use Fetish Army. For the life of me, blizzard wants Zunimassa to use Fetish Army. Fetish Army sucks, they are just as bad as Zombie Dogs for damage, but provided less DR overall than Zombie Dogs. The key to Zunimassa and Helltooth is the Gargantuan damage. So, giving up 24% DR and 8 little guys that deal crap damage (even with the 5,500% pet damage increase) is not worth in the game of pushing Greater Rifts (GR).
Core design and play style
There is a play style called Jade Harvester (another witch doctor armor set) or Jade for short. This style is in your face, moving around, spamming spells and group mobs up before you drop the huge AoE destruction. Well, Why wait to apply Damage Over Time (DOT) when you can have your (3) Gargantuan(s) blow up everything for you anyways? Answer is obvious, this build is that play style.
I will now explain how to play this build and play style in step for step process.
1. Enter GR, Summon your Gargantuan(s) and start walking out.
2. Find a small group. Here is where you spam your Haunt to get 15 fetishes. You now have 45% DR. Enemies will die fast, so you may need to find another group. Once you have 15 fetishes from your Belt of Trans. you may now begin the Jade Harvester play style.
3. Run forward and and find the first mob pack, throw a haunt and keep going. If you need, this is a great time to use your Spirit Walk to dodge all that INC damage. You then run far enough, your pets respawn. Once you exit the Spirit Walk, you will apply your Horrify to CC the group around you. You then look for those 3 Gargs and toss the Piranha spell around those mobs by them to pull them all in. Now that all those mobs are close, you can now use your Soul Harvest to get 10 stacks. You have now moved up to 60% DR + 45% + 50% DR (from compass/travel pledge 2pc bonus) & you have 50% more armor! You can usually survive just about anything at this given moment. Did I mention that you set up your Gargs to most likely 1-2 shot that 10 mob, so now you have your Horrify off CD, thanks to the passive Grave Injustice.
4. Rinse and Repeat. Since you have 8 less Fetishes to distract and pull mobs away from the Gargs, you can clear things faster. Since you can CC with Horrify and gain more Armor, you survive the physical damage that plagues the witch doctor (WD).
GEMS
The 3 gems are manditory and cannot be swapped. You may want to use Bane of Power, 20% increase damage for X mins is not worth the consent damage that Trapped provides or the insane damage build of stricken. It takes without saying but Enforcer is a must for every pet base build.

Offense, Defense, Utility
These are basically put in place as they are and no changing. You want to go Armor as Int classes like the WD gain Resist All from the primary stat. Attack Speed (AS) is last, because pets gain no AS and CDR is better to pop gargs down when they go stupid and walk to 1 creature vs the mob you just Piranha.
Build Guide
At the moment of this posting (11/30/17) I finished a GR 75 with 1 ancient gear (Sacred Harvester) and missing 1 gem in my torso. My base damage is around 850,000. Under 1000 paragons, this build is sub par as you can still be hit hard enough by elemental damage. However, that all changes at 1000 paragons as your primary stat will be high enough and your resist all is now more balanced.
Zunimassa is really good at pushing Solo GR in season 2.6.1. Big Daddy (a streamer) has shown that his gargs hit in the Trillions of damage with ease. The buff of 6 pc from 2,500% pet damage to 5,500% pet damage has sky rocketed Zuni to maybe the best WD build right now. I like the in your face play style of Jade Harvester, but I love pets. I have combined the two and now have a viable PURE Zunimassa build that will push beyond 100 GR with Ancient Gear and a base damage of around 2 million. Having T&T gloves really makes a huge difference as compared to running a Zuni+Helltooth combo that most Zuni players had to play last season as Zuni's damage and survival was not high enough to push beyond 80-85 GR.
I hope you enjoy this play style and most importantly, enjoy playing the pet class (Zunimassa) of the WD. Necromancers kind of stole the glory of the Pet class by being able to control them. However, Zunimassa have the old Diablo 2 Necromancer feel that I love to play and I hope you do too.
I will be posting my GR 80/90/100 clears on my youtube page. Look me up: Proxyminers1986
