Build Guide

I am currently testing this build so there is no guarantee of how well it works yet.


This build is designed for Grater rift groups (90+). It tries to combine the AoE clear power of a frozen orb build with strong buffs for the group.

The main changes to the "normal" DMO builds is the lack of explosive blast and orb of infinite depth. Since the wizard should stand far away from enemies, the uptime for this buff isn't active often enough. To make up for some of the lost defensive stats I included an esoteric alteration. This should hopefully be enough survivability when paired with a support monk and/or barb.


Instead of using witching hour, this wizard wears the shame of delsere to make room for a crown of the primus in the cube. This helmet does not only reduce the cooldown of slow time but also grants us 10% attack speed as well as a 25% dmg debuff on enemies and a stun if they try to leave the bubble.


Furthermore the damage of the whole group is amplified by up to 40% through the use of primordial soul and elemental exposure. To get maximum uptime, you will need to roll lightning damage on the weapon (it counts for the lightning stack) because the storm armor won't hit many enemies in AoE situations. Arcane damage would be second best because it is more difficult to maintain than Fire.


Total offensive buffs: 40% (elemental exposure), 30% (strongarm bracers), 15% (time warp), 10% attack speed

Total defensive buffs: 30% dmg reduction (DMO), 10% dmg reduction (spell steal), 25% dmg reduction (slow time), 20% slower attack speed (slow time), movement and projectile slow.
