    • Bane of the Trapped
    • Gogok of Swiftness
    • Bane of the Powerful

Kanai's Cube

  • Akkhan's Addendum
  • Leoric's Crown
  • Convention of Elements

Wielding fate of the fell is required for the huge damage buff you get. I use Addendum over furnace in cube simply because i enjoy having prophet and power for the entirety of the rifts over the increase damage against elites. It isn't really needed because the damage is fairly high.

I Use Gogok for cooldown that way I do not have to worry about it on my gear, I can go more defensive. The rest is pretty standard, Full Akkhan set, travelers pledge and compass rose combo.

You may start suffering from wrath issues at the RG in higher rifts, because shield glare is less effective against 1 mosnter. But you shouldn't worry about it too much, you are able to regen fairly quickly because of Akarat. I still use bane of the powerful instead of stricken, because your shots are powerful and not super quick, so IMO it's better to go for the damage straight out the gate rather than trying to build up to it.

Area damage is a star with this build so focus on it. You want to maximize your crit damge and your crit chance. a 10/1 ratio is ideal. You want to get as much bang for your buck as possible. Each shot is expensive, so you want to make it count.

Paragon Priorities

Core

Maximum Resource
Primary Stat
Vitality
Movement Speed

Offense

Cooldown Reduction
Critical Hit Damage
Critical Hit Chance
Attack Speed

Defense

Life
Resist All
Armor
Life Regeneration

Utility

Resource Cost Reduction
Life on Hit
Area Damage
Gold Find

This is a very resource intensive build So you want to max it first. Then go Primary stat and then Vit. Move speed i do last because normally you get some on your boots you have your horse you can ride through areas quickly.

Cooldown reduction is equally important because you need to maintain your Akarat's champion for pretty much everything you are going to be doing with this build. Follow up with CHD, and then CHC and lastly attack speed.

Defense i go with Res first, Follow Life with Resist all and then Armor, because you are naturally gaining armor from being a str mainstat character.

Resource cost is the priority for your Utility points, because heavens wrath is expensive, so you need to reduce the cost as much as possible and have as much wrath as possible to be able to continuously fire it.

Build Guide

OK so this is my current shotgun build that I play, and it should be getting a significant buff when 2.6.1 drops. So I built this crusader as a nostalgia to my old Shotgunner when i played on PS3. Luckily its getting a huge boost in the upcoming patch and should perform significantly better. Currently I can run an 85-88 range, and I look to going to 100+ with the updated gear. It is pretty solid for solo currently, even though it is lacking behind other top tier builds. But with the next patch the damage for this build should skyrocket.

I am able to keep 100% uptime on Akarat's champion. I can continuously refresh my law of valor and my iron skin.

My basic play-style is to transform and start firing off heavens fury. You will be recharging your iron skin, laws of valor, and your shield glare and should have an endless supply for the most part of Wrath. You can keep constant Iron skin, plus with having the prophet rune it seems to actually save your Indestructible, so you can gain 2 chances to cheat death. Because you are constantly using shield glare, you maintain a constant damage buff from your Bracers of Fury.
