Build Guide
And what is happening all my Thinkers...... How are you all doing today? We are back with another build guide video. Today we are going to be taking a look at the necromancer group support build I have been playing on my stream. This build is targeted to be the old globe generator and is a zDPS style build. The target was to create a build which could be used for running our Dual Necro GR runs as well as beneficial for any group play where you want to be a support player and not the DPS. I believe this is equivalent or better than the current Warrior support.
Anyways please feel free to check it out and let me know your input!
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. Cool Down Reduction - You want the highest CDR possible. The goal is to be able to cast Land of the Dead back to back. I am currently sitting at 64% non buffed CDR and with full skills buffs that jumps to 84% with the additional reduction coming from obsidian ring. I would like to find a way to get up to 90% all times if possible.
2. Life on Hit - If you can get a high life on hit number you can definitely use nemesis over reapers wraps. As you are the primary tank, you will tend to see your life spike around while playing this. Life on hit helps you very much to refill your life.
GAMEPLAY:
The best way to figure out the game play is to watch the video but below I will highlight the skill priority and rotation.
1. Devour - NUMLOCK TRICK. Please please please ensure you are constantly casting Devour. it allows you to generate globes at all times. I put this as #1 importence
2. Land of the Dead - Cast this every time it is off cool down. This is our globe generator and if you are running with a singularity necro for DPS this will provide them with mages for days.
3. Decrepify - Keep this on at least 20 mobs at all time possibleas this gives you 20% cool down reduction when maxed.
4. Frailty - Run through all groups of mobs to get them cursed with frailty
5. Death Nova - Cast this as damage reduction and speed duction on all enemies. This is also used to proc obsidian ring and get you cool down reduction.
Simply move slowly through the screen tagging every mob with decrepify and death nova while pulling mobs into you with Ess of Johan. Keep your Land of the Dead up and keep large groups of mobs as close to you as possible for procing the obsidian ring.
I want to try messing around with brings ring instead of Ess of Johan as well as do some testing with the LotD rune for shallow graves instead of frozen lands.
Im confused as to why you take Illusory boots over cubing aquila and wearing shrine gloves with the shrine polearm in the cube. Those shrines are a lot of xp and cdr procs, as well as damage for the necromancers. Im also not running decrepify as i feel its overkill on the cdr and not needed. I run aura of frailty, + blood rush for the extra mobility to be the first one to the elites so they are frozen and ready to be burst down when the dps arrive
So I chose Illusionary boots because I found many times where I was getting stuck with tons of mobs around me with no way to move. Option 1 was to use blood rush as you suggested above however, I didn't feel blood rush was worth loosing the CDR from decrepify. Also to the point of getting to the elites first using blood rush, I can still do that using illusionary boots as I just walk through all the mobs.
To your point on Decrepify, since I am mainly playing this with other necro's my purpose was to become a globe generator using LotD and my goal is to keep LotD up 100% of the time so I really like the excess CDR.
