Build Guide
2.6 Reaper's Scythe Generator build for T13 Speedfarm
I always liked the concept of a "Generator build" and ever since I heard about Leger's Disdain offhand I've been theory-crafting various builds that could actually make it work.
Legder's Disdain will increase your Grim Scythe damage by 7-10% for each essence point it restores, and since Grim Scythe restore 12 Essence point Per Enemy Hit, the damage bonus can be huge assuming you hit multiple enemies and your Essence Pool is empty enough.
Another key factor in this build is the use of Nayr's Black Death as the cubed weapon.
Nayr's gives you a 65%* (Number of poison skills used) damage increase for your poison skills. We are using 5 Poison skills to give us a whopping 325% damage increase to our main damage dealers just by using Nayr's alone. I have noticed 300B+ crits from Grim Scythe with the combination of CoE and Krysbin's Sentence proc using Bone Armor.
The attached video was taken with 700 paragon, no augmented items, lvl 60 gems, and only 3 Ancient items (1 PA) on my seasonal char. Speed will increase with higher paragon/better gear.
Skills
Damage Dealers
Grim Scythe - Cursed Scythe, our main poison damage dealer.
Corpse Lance - Shredding Splinters , Grim Scythe will deal less damage when less enemies are hit, use your Corpse Lance to finish off the last enemies or the rift guardian assuming there are no others enemies around. You can choose either Shredding Splinters or Ricochet (both poison) however Splinters is the better choice since you will most likely use it on the last enemy, and the DR can also be nice against RG.
Essence Pool Spenders
Command Skeletons - Kill command, cost the most amount of essence between all Poison skills spenders.
Skeletal Mage - Contamination, the 2nd most expensive poison skill, can be cast without a target to empty our Essence Pool while traveling between packs.
Utility
Blood Rush - Will give you high mobility with the use of In-Geom.
In terms of runes I recommend either Potency (toughness) or Molting (more ammunition for your Corpse Lance).
Bone Armor - Dislocation, will proc your Krysbin's Sentence triple buff, works incredibly well with In-Geom.
Passives
Swift Harvesting - More AS for your Grim Scythe.
Final Service - Cheat death.
Overwhelming Essence - Will give you more wiggle room on your essence pool.
Life from Death/Rigor Mortis - There aren't many great 4th passive for this build , LFD will give you more recovery when you use your Corpse Lance and Rigor Mortis will give you a bit more survivability - use whatever you like.
Items
Inarius Set - Damage & Mitigation.
Endless Walk Set - Damage & Mitigation, for GR it's possible to replace that with Wisdom Of Kalan+Unity and use Witching Hour.
Nemesis Bracers - IMO the best bracers in the game, especially for speedfarming.
Goldwrap - Godlike toughness in combination with BoTH.
In-Geom - Required for mobility and constant proc of Krysbin's Sentence triple bonus through Bone Armor.
Leger's Disdain - Required for this build to work.
Cube
Nayr's Black Death - Required for this build to work.
Depth Diggers - More damage from our Grim Scythe.
Krysbin's Sentence - Huge damage bonus.
Gems
Head - Diamond
Chest&Pants - Topaz
Weapon - Emerald
Gameplay
Offense
Make sure you have Nayr's 5 Stack up and that your essence pool is relatively empty. Refresh Bone Armor to proc Krysbin's triple damage bonus (through stun effect) and attack with Grim Scythe. If In-Geom is up make sure to use Bone Armor each time the Stun effect wears off. When your Essence builds up use your Essence Spenders to lower it.
When you have 1 or 2 enemies left, use their fallen comrades corpses to summon corpse lances to finish them off.
Once you have In-Geom up, use Blood Rush to travel between elite packs - this will keep your EW damage buff up more than running, your toughness should already be through the roof from the combination Goldwrap+BoTH.
When traveling between packs use your spenders to empty your Essence Pool+keep Nayr's stack up.
Defense
For this build we use 3 sources of defense:
Bone Armor - When entering a rift make sure to activate it when engaging, preferably around a couple of enemies, that will give you a higher DR.
EW - Endless Walk set will give you a 50% DR as long as you're moving, when you start collecting gold start being more stationary as you won't need that bonus.
Goldwrap+BoTH - This will keep your toughness through the roof, just make sure to kill trash mobs occasionally in order not to drop it.
Optimal gear setup (before Caldesann's Despair):

If you're playing on group try playing with Pull-Monk or any other vortex like effect (briggs wrath+curse for instance), you will do more damage since your scythe will hit more enemies.
Have fun with this build!
The minimal Diamond in head+paragon will be sufficient for the out of In-Geom window.
What should I use for group GRs instead of Goldwrap? The witching hour?
For more toughness you can also switch to Dayntee's Binding+Decrepify instead of Corpse Lance, since in group you will have other damage to finish single target. However this will hurt your DPS as you will now have 4 Poison skills instead of 5.
Thanks. One more question, how does the damage from Nayrs compare to the damage from using trag'oul's corroded fang + Reilena's shadowhook in cube? You have a lot more freedom in skills then. I like this build: http://www.diablofans.com/builds/92270-gr-85-100-post-hotfix-grim-reaper-poison-generator
I am wondering which build would be more powerful in groups. The devour- cannabalize is nice for healing. I also like being able to dump all my essence with one button press with singularity mages. It loses in-geom + blood rush though.
The poison rune for Grim Scythe is Cursed Scythe, which in combination with Trang'oul has a 100% chance to cast a curse, giving you up to 200% damage increase.
I don't think the damage from grim scythe is really doing too much? Even with the boost from simplicity strength and depth diggers. I find that using a efficacious toxin, witching hour, and aquila curass or maybe even a cubed pox faulds might work better
This build is focusing on jumping from one elite pack to another, and as such I think that the combination of BoTT+Simplicity Strength works best for burst damage, I don't see how GoET would work better here as it does DoT.
GoET would work best for builds that are running through enemies such as the awesome LazyMancer.
Man, I have to tell ya... this is one fun build to play. I changed out the Endless Walk set for a Wisdom of Khalan/Stone of Jordon combo and things melt even faster than they did before. I haven't ran it in a group setting yet but for soloing around this is the best build that I've played. Well done!
