You can swap head, torso and stuff, just make sure you have 6 tal rasha + 4 vyrs arcana bonus.

Have lightning damage on your bracers so your archon deals only lightning damage.

Also a shitton of cd reduction is recommended so you can have archon permanently up when there is no elite pack to trigger your in-geom.

For the rings: use the two best you have and put the third in the cube.

Yellow gems in torso and legs, white gem in head.

Build Guide

This is kind of like the standard build for mage, but made for speed farming.

Use your blink, hydra and ray of frost to have 3 tal rasha stacks and pop archon so you get your 4th stack.

Just hop around and kill everything with your right click in archon. Left click is unnecessary since its melee.

Anyway this build makes you squishy as hell but once you reach 2nd archon nothing stands in your way.
