Definitely hit another wall. With no good drops to replace the gear I have I am condemned to tinkering with what I've got. I had to move Crown of the Primus into the Cube. The necessity of RoRG was too limiting with no upgraded items dropping for me.


My defense was still suffering too as I pushed higher GR's so I opted to replace Spectral Blades Thrown Blade Rune with Barrier Blades Rune to add some shields. And Arcane Dynamo replacing Galvanizing Ward added some more DMG too without really sacrificing defense. And I noticed a lot of people going with Stricken Gem in this kind of build so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I think it worked out well.


All in all good changes in addition to my last round of tinkering as I am now completing GR59 in well under 6 mins. *thumbs up*. If I can push it to GR70 I'll be very happy.

Slow Time gains the effect of all runes.

A variation DMO Arcane Orb build with the Crown of the Primus helmet replacing the DMO helmet. The special on the helmet gives us the benefits of ALL Slow Time Runes. The caveat is you will have to sacrifice a ring slot for a RoRG to get the 6pc bonus on the DMO set. However with my gear it has totally been worth it, especially with an Ancient Unstable Scepter (I don't even have a socket yet) and a few others. I can clear GR46 in 5 mins and RG's in one second playing fairly casually solo. I'm sure it could go much higher. My GR levels and clearing are improving daily with small changes to gear or actually trying to be speedy.


Armour, CDR & LoH

Try to stack a lot of Armour, CDR and LoH on your gear. You'll need Armour as this is a fairly close quarters combat build. Staying in your Slow Time bubble helps a LOT too, but you will want some more defense. You will also want to put Life on Hit in a few spots as well. This will really help surviving. LoH on your weapon is a pretty good idea if you can manage it. Otherwise stack some eon a couple of other pieces of gear.


With good CDR your Teleport will be available more frequently. I have about 40% CDR. The bonus from the DMO set and Spectral Blade casts will give you almost 100% CDR on Slow Time.


Edit: With Aether Walker in the cube CDR is much less of a concern now. Teleport has no cool down but costs 25AP, and it feels fantastic. I love the added mobility. It also allowed me to use the Safe Passage Rune instead of Wormhole and gain some needed defenses. Might be a good idea to add some Crit Hit adds AP on a piece of gear since, if like me, you are constantly Teleporting around now. Or work the Prodigy Passive in somehow. Mine rolled on my Hellfire Amulet.


The DMO set bonus + Spectral Blade brings Slow Time back in ~1 second. So buh-bye CDR rolls, it's time to reroll CDR on gear into more damage for me and adjust Paragon to CHC. Also since CDR is out I switched the Evocation passive for Unstable Anomaly for yet more defense. At GR50+/T10+ I was getting one shotted 1-2 times per run. Not anymore.


Weapons

The Unstable Scepter + Triumvirate combo is amazing for Arcane Orb. Because I have stacked DMG with other gear on to Spectral Blade I feel like those two items are essential for effective DMG with Arcane Orb. So work them in somehow. Either in hand or Cubed. Of course with the DMO set you have a lot of room for skill + weapon choices. But this build is focusing on Arcane Orb and Spectral Blade.


Wrists

Nemesis Bracers for speedy clears of Rifts and GR's. Use Ashnagarr's Blood Bracers or Ancient Parthon Defenders for more defense if you need it. Reapers Wraps work great if you just want to get this build going.


Belt

Shame of Delsere of course but if you don't have it, Thunder God's Vigor helps out your Spectral Blade's Lightning DMG nicely. Witching Hour is great for more DMG too.


Jewelry

Travelers Pledge and Compass Rose for the special DMG and defense set bonuses.


Edit: If like me you find some limit to your build (mine was defense) play around. Needing RoRG makes Ring/Amulet selection more challenging but see what you can do if you hit a wall. I decided to replace the Endless Walk Set with Hellfire Amulet and Halo of Arlyse. Halo of Arlyse helped my defenses and the entire swap didn't really change my sheet DMG either. My other ring is an Ancient Convention of Elements.


Focus and Restraint is definitely an option here. But with RoRG in the Cube you lose Halo of Arlyse. Which isn't the end of the world if you stack enough defenses and mobility, so weigh your options and see what works for you.


RoRG is mandatory for the 6pc set bonus. Halo of Arlyse of course for more defense with Ice Armour. Convention of Elements works well too for a DMG boost. Cube the ring with the worst stats for your build.


Kanai's Cube

In the cube you have a lot of weapon options. I like Fragment of Destiny for the ATK SPD & DMG buff to Spectral Blade which in turn gets you stacks for Arcane Orb much faster as well, but feel free to experiment. The Furnace is a solid choice for more Elite DMG. Fulminator is nice for more procs on Lightning DMG too. Use what's available to you.


Edit: Replacing Fragment of Destiny with Aether Walker is AMAZING for mobility. Yes you lose the Attack SPD and DMG buff. But it's been ok so far for me. If you go that route pay attention to my grey edits and changes to CDR too.


I like Depth Diggers right now for the added DMG to Spectral Blade but there are so many good choices here. Illusory Boots (move unhindered through enemies would come in pretty handy (but not needed with Aether Walker). Gloves of Worship (woohoo 10 min. shrine effects). Krelm's Buff Belt (good mobility). Leoric's Crown for more CDR. The door is wide open on this slot. I am actually thinking of swapping Depth Diggers for Pox Faulds and see what happens. I love Pox Faulds. I had a pair early on while leveling up that I used right through to 70 I think.


The jewelry slot will be occupied by either a RoRG, Halo fo Arlyse or Convention of Elements most likely. I have RoRG.

Build Guide

Variation on the DMO Arcane Orb WZ. By swapping out the DMO helmet for Crown of the Primus we get the benefit of ALL Runes on Slow Time.


The play style is still the same as DMO Arcane Orb WZ. Cast Slow Time on a group of enemies, do Spectral Blade casts to stack Arcane Orb, then cast Arcane Orb. Everything dies. Move on to the next pack as quickly as possible.


I use Teleport in various ways. To get me to the next Elite pack faster, to get me into a the middle of a group and start my spell casting, or to get me out of a dangerous situation.


Edit: Aether Walker just takes Teleport to a whole new level if you decide to go that route. I love it.


I really like this build as it is super simple to use and there is so much room for changing things up. The DMO set and this build can easily get you through Low-Mid GR's. I am starting to feel the limits of its effectiveness approaching GR50. But with some tweaks (and paying more attention) I can probably push it a little more.


Edit: I found at GR50+ and T10+ I was getting one shotted if I wasn't super careful. So I definitely hit a wall. My changes (listed in grey) helped a lot with that. Now my challenge is needing more DMG to clear higher levels. I am clearing GR50 under 6 mins right now without dieing. I am happy with that atm. But I have been getting terrible drops for a while. Ugh!


Edit 2: Now pushing GR59 in under 6 minutes. If I could just get 1-2 Ancient Items to replace my gear it would make a big difference. I am hoping I can push GR70 soon.



Edit 3: Breached the GR60 level and pushing up. Although I miss the mobility of Aether Walker, I am finding Fragment of Destiny a better choice in the Cube for higher GR's.
