Build Guide
I noticed that existing guides are not 100% accurate so i decided to recreate the "META" setup for posterity. For me to check, and for you to view easily and compare. Keep in mind i am not a SUPER SKILLED DH, so i cannot showcase an impressive grift with this, but GR100 was already done in season 9 with just 1456 paragons.
Why i like this build?
1) It's a 100% brainless generator build. You don't need to watch Hatred or even Discipline.
2) Very easy and straightforward gameplay, unlike most spender builds. But requires skill too cause you need to move a lot.
3) Stacks stricken very fast with massive attack speed
4) Huge recovery and tankiness
What are the "problems"?
1) Damn hard to gear for (requires both ancient weapons with discipline).
2) Less AOE damage than Marauders setup in density. More speedfarming and single-target oriented
A few tips on stats and gear:
1) Max discipline rolls on both weapons + chest (potential 86 discipline with Preparation )
2) You need 36%+ sheet CDR for perma-vengeance with Dawn equipped and Diamond in helm.
3) As much area damage as possible (both weapons, gloves, shoulders, whatever )
4) Bear Companion is for additional toughness. You can use Wolf for damage.
5) Ambush or Steady Aim can be used instead of Cull the Weak
6) Make sure to play "ranged" to get damage reduction from 4pc bonus and refresh it as you vault around!
Thank you!

Could you please elaborate on your choice for Bane of The Trapped ? I mean... Isn't this a build in which you should attack from distance ? So why pick a gem that need you to be 15 yards from enemies ? I probably missed a key point of the build that synergies with Trapped, please enlighten me!
Sure, BoTT is one of the biggest global multipliers so you need to be relatively close to the elites to fully benefit from it. Bladed Armor procs bott almost all the time in 20 yards and it has 100% uptime.
Although this build is pretty ranged, it's very mobile and i usually stay pretty close to all packs and easily tank them with huge recovery.
So i guess you are going meele build with this thing. BoTT radius is really short if you look at it and using vault to get at a close range can get you killed easily. As you said is a GLASS CANON BUILD getting into meele range 85+ will get you one-shotted by the shittiest enemy. Better use zei's stone and let your templar/boar tank the mobs. If you are playing softcore you can get cocky and get preparation instead of awareness it's a huge boost of toughness and will help maintain the discipline maxed. Also because you are moving a lot and you have good damage alredy maybe drop off the compass rose and get an elusive ring in there?. You can always get the hellfire amulet, it's easier to roll a good one.
Also i don't understand why you choose projectile pierce in cube since grenades bounce not pierce LOL?. Maybe use something like a hellrack to proc BoTT? (I don't know how often hellrack procs though) Calimity for increased damage can be good aswell.
Is defenitily an original build that is still to be optimized. +1
BTW i completely agree with you in the fact that vault sucks because the range is always 35 yards and not adjustable.
Endless Walk is important for DPS. 100% global multipliers is no joke.
Buriza can triple your damage if you shoot at the further line of the mobs. Grenades bounce if they hit a monster, and if monster is nearby then your grenades might never reach elites in the back.
It is true that endless walk is always a good choice you are right about that. About tankiness i'm not so sure. Fortress ballista definitely helps a lot but you still have the huge issue that is getting one-shotted in meele range because you have to proc Bane of the Trapped. 15 yard is extemely close. Not to say so when engaging arcane sentries and poison aoe damage from elites. Fan of knives only slows for 1 second which is not enough to make good use of it.
That's why i talked about using different weapon in cube. The Buriza effect as you well explained can be powerful if monster are blocking you but, isn't getting crowd control effects better? Root from Hellrack could be really powerful (haven't tested it because of bad gear). Helltrapper is quite good aswell comboed with numbing traps. Or at least if you pretend to bounce the grande to enemies far away just get zei's stone of vengeance, it is special multiplier just like BotT and damage increase is higher at longer distances + you get exposed less by playng far from mobs.
The danneta's set is quite misleading. 100% uptime vengeance and ballista shield is too strong imo. You can always trigger preparation and if you are using perfectionist instead of awereness (only softcore) not only will you be making better use of the fortress ballista shield but increase your damage output reducing discipline costs.
Most interesting thing about this build is how you can actually use the boar active skill to create density.
After all i will definitely give this build a try once i get decent gear. Thx for replying.
I wonder if this build can be tweeked to be a chakram build. I dont think it's been revisited since the sets got buffed
Should I have %DMG on both weapons or just my mainhand?
Try Calamity in cube, instead of Buriza. Thank me later!
