Build Guide
Credit goes out to YoDa for placing the build on the leader boards.
Simply put, this build is a monster. The 13,000-14,000% Weapon damage done when Manald Heal nails something that's been rocked with Paralysis is amazing. This build also has wonderful synergy with the 6 piece set of Tal Rash as well as the 4 piece Vyr's. Expect to put the gear together and jump right into T11 as you get to learn the in's and out's of positioning and maintaining your Archon and Tal Rasha stacks. Very mobile and extremely strong at any level of game play.
The key to playing this build is knowing where you can stand while maintaining max distance from a group you are about to spread your tip all over. While in Archon form there is a small bit of distance just outside the tip or your Beam O' Power that the majority of your damage is focused into from Zei's as well as Starfire's secondary and your passive Power Hungry. In a 4 man setup, you are immune to CC while inside Archon so use that to your advantage in placing yourself at distance from a Yellow or Blue pack. When Archon falls off though you need to dive back into the group and hug your monk like you haven't seen him/her since prom night of high school. That way you are getting the Inner sanc from the Zmonk and in the thick of the action so your Blizzard and Arcane Torrent casts get Archon off cooldown a bit quicker.Once Archon comes back up from it's little CDR trip, you can teleport in place and then activate Archon and instantly teleport out again with full Tal Rasha stacks and overlapping stacks of Archon to continue to do damage.
I will be loading up a video on this build very shortly. If you have any questions at all please find me on stream or check in here at the website with questions in the comment sections below. I hope you all enjoy this build as much as I have and please have a wonderful season!
Hi! Why in the video you are using in-geon and in the build the furnace are in the cube?
Exactly. In the video and build I do address this as the 4 player version, then switch to the speed run variant to show off how it performs when farming keys, bounties and low level gem upgrades. Thank you for the clarification.
I have a quick question, if my beam in archon isn't lightning mode, will manald heal still proc?
What's the point of wearing Ashnagarr's Blood Bracer? As far as i know it only works with absorb type shields such as Galvanizing Ward and Magic Weapon Deflection.
which means i have to reroll the let's say, Cold Damage to Lightning Damage for it to proc?
You need to update this spec. Korean testers have found out that lightning damage on gear doesn't effect manald procs, and neither does Furnace in cube.
The ideal weapon is now Pig Sticker apparently.
Why AR instead of Armor?
A goof on my part. Armor is the smarter option instead of the AR rolls since INT give all res anyway. I'll update to show those changes. Doing a bit of testing with other weapons in the cube rather than Furnace and wanted to do a sweeping update then so I don't lose this build to the server gods.
Made changes to the stat weights on gear to reflect the removal of some All resist. I left it on the belt though. I'm sure either life% or AR are good choices there.
I can confirm that NS is speed farming 106 pretty effectively with this build. So it has potential!!
So, I find myself running out of arcane power. Do I need more crit to proc tal rasha's offhand? Or is mine being rolled 3 on hit instead of 4 the problem?
You're drastically overestimating how much "non-manald" or non-archon damage you're doing. Do you actually understand how this build works? Do you know why you need CDR? I mean you're only doing a gr60 in your video...
Deathwish would suck, because that would only work if you weren't relying on DOUBLE STACK archon (which will greatly outdamage anything you do out of archon). With this build your goal is to stay in archon pretty much permanently. For one you die if you don't. Two, you're sacrificing double stack damage if you don't. There's a reason everyone that knows about Furnace being useless for Manald damage is quickly switching over to Pig Sticker. You need to hit higher breakpoints, hit higher attack speed, etc.
There are some other interesting options, such as Sun Keeper though, but deathwish certainly isn't one of them. Much like Taeguk, Deathwish doesn't proc during archon. Which again you want to spend a majority of your time in archon. Most wizards I talk to that are running this build competitively are only out of archon for a few seconds.
I've made the change on the build with Pig Sticker and Star Fire on the cube. If you catch me streaming, I will still be working on getting this combo set up myself. Best of luck and thank you all for the input towards these changes.
