Kanai's Cube
- Weapon: The Furnace or Schaefer's Hammer
- Armor: Fazula's Chain (you'll want this in the cube and Thundergod's Vigor equipped so that you can benefit from the +Lightning% damage)
- Jewelry: Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac
Gems
- 1x Diamond in Helm
- 5x Topazes in Chest Armor and Pants
- 1x Emerald in Weapon
In terms of items, you'll want to ideally have +55% lightning damage (+20% on your amulet, +20% on your bracers, and +15% on your belt via Thundergod's Vigor) although anywhere over +45% should be fine. Your other priority will be Cooldown Reduction to keep Archon up (fortunately, with the Pure Power rune, the cooldown is automatically reduced a bit for you).
Using either Thunderfury or Fulminator in conjunction with Wyrdward, you should get a pretty decent number of lightning stuns against trash mobs on top of the freeze/stun effects from your Halo of Arlyse. You could potentially even try using the Paralysis passive to proc more stuns. Along with the synergy with Ancient Parthan Defenders and your four stacks from Orb of Infinite Depth, you shouldn't really have any problems with survivability. The shield from St. Archew's Gage is really just nice-to-have (I actually had Magefist's equipped, when I did my run, because I didn't have an Archew's available and that just happened to be my best-rolled gloves).

Build Guide
Description and Playstyle
This is a fairly basic build for completing The Thrill (Greater Rift level 45 clear without any set items equipped) conquest in Season 7. Although the most popular Wizard build for The Thrill is currently the Fire Channeling Wizard, this build is a nice alternative. I was able to clear GR45 in my first attempt right at about the 9:00 mark.
The play-style is pretty similar to a mix of Firebird Archon and Vyr's Archon. The rotation is as follows:
- Keep Ice Armor up at all times (for Halo of Arlyse to proc Frost Nova)
- Place Explosive Blast on Numlock 1 autocast (so that way it autocasts the Archon explosion skill as well when you're in Archon form) and use it to charge up your Orb of Infinite Depth to four stacks
- Enter Archon form and blast away at both elite mobs and trash mobs
- When you fall out of Archon, quickly teleport into the middle of a trash mob pack to proc Halo of Arlyse's Frost Nova and your Ancient Parthan Defenders
- Use Force Stand Still and spam your Arcane Torrent to get Archon out of cooldown as soon as possible (the damage reduction from Mantle of Channeling combined with the stuns from your lightning skills and the Frost Nova should protect you while in this other vulnerable state)
- Re-enter Archon form, rinse-and-repeat
All-and-all, it's a pretty simple build that should allow you to complete the conquest with relative ease. Best of luck!
