Great build. Expect to need time to whittle down Rift Guardians solo as you'll be starved for Wrath with only one target. If it spawns adds, you're golden. Cleared GR60 before getting Furnace (which I got in that run and cubed).
I agree with Grevan the current build require some tweaking. Law of Valor - Unstoppable force does help a lot but I'm also playing around with the idea of Akkhan's Addendum http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/akkhans-addendum
for increased passive wrath regen (in cube over furnace). This also allows you to take Akarat's Champion - Haste and maintain all 3 runes.
I'm also debating Draw and Quarter as you need the mobility from steed but the ability to drag along stragglers is nice.
As I've had terrible dps rolls on endless walk neck and ring I've been using focus + restraint (with punish celerity) and am debating pursuing a usable hellfire to include Wrathful passive for decent life regen with globe bonus rolled on some items. I'm not convinced indestructible is necessary with 100% uptime on Akarat's and will play with using vigilant for more durability.
Any thoughts?
You're likely right RE Taeguk, so that's less of a concern.
Draw and quarter would definitely be for solo play over group. I would run endurance for group play.
I'm referring to changing champion rune with the cubed item Akkhan's addendum over furnace as it gives you prophet and embodiment of power. In doing that you can go hasteful and maintain the defensive benefits of prophet along with higher wrath regen.
Yeah, I get the concept of zodiac reducing cool downs. Integral to the build.
Interesting update for anyone thinking of using Akkhan's addendum and Roland's, you still need prophet runed to make the Roland 2p consider champion as a defensive spell and therefore, reduce the cd. Effectively negating the purpose of addendum.
I've hit the wall with F + R in the high 60s with an ancient flense, losing out on CoE is too big a dps loss. I'll have to retry it once I find some crit/crit dmg rolled endless walk.
Retried the build with unstoppable force and it definitely helps with wrath starvation and maintaining aquila's buff. Single target though (RG) I had a hell of a time keeping Aquila up and would often die to incidental damage. I don't see the build as a solo progress spec but more as an amazing utility spec for group saders. Running 65 with a DH friend I was able to peel and stun lock most everything and allow him to focus more on pure dps. Just my 2c!
Overall great guide Drahque. I would recommend changing provoke to steed endurance/quarter and law to unstoppable force for further optimization based on testing. It's a much more fluid build with those substituted. I also found Wrathful passive to be more useful than Holy Cause. Holy cause will only give 8% more wep damage (effectively, due to heavenly strength) and with a few items having increased globe healing the sustain of wrathful is phenomenal!
No idea how this is supposed to work. Even with a decent amount of mobs, the Golden Flense doesn't seem to work like it should, and I run out of Wrath, meaning the Aquila Cuirass is useless. It wouldn't kill you to give at least a tiny bit of explanation on how these builds are supposed to work.
These Drahque spam builds with no information whatsoever are really not helpful on the site. All of it is just advertisement for him but they're never properly updated and never have any information on diablofans, just links to external sources, people need to stop upvoting these here.
The playstyle is:
Keep Akarat's champion up along with law and iron skin as much as possible (easily done with 2p and obsidian ring), use condemn to group mobs for maximum wrath return and cc (to active pantheon bracers) and hold down sweep. Once you kill the majority of the group re-activate condemn to pull stragglers along and move on to the next group.
The build works but is improved by the addition of Laws of Valor - Unstoppable Force to reduce wrath starvation. You can keep the law up near 100% so it's excellent. Having a little bit of resource cost reduction also helps.
I also replaced provoke with steed and it's more fluid for positioning and getting out of affixes quickly. I've also replaced Holy Cause with wrathful. With my ancient flense rolled to LoH my life return is excellent.
These 3 changes will help but on single targets (i.e. RG) you will inevitably have wrath droughts and lose the Aquila buff. I was running F+R so I was able to alternate builder/spender rapidly and help maintain 90%+ resource. Without a builder this would be very difficult.
To you guys hating on Drahque, he's got a boat-load of guides up (which responding to and maintaining would be a full-time job). The majority of them are quite a good starting point and are very informative. If you're having problems with a build, put some brain power into how you might tweak it to improve weaknesses in it and share the wealth. We can work collectively to make builds more efficient/feasible.
I play this with my wife's zdps barb and Reaper's Wraps and Wrath isn't a huge problem on RGs cause of it.
I did most of the stuff suggested in this thread , except I dropped condemned in favor of shield glare / zealous glare. This allows me to quickly refill my wrath and get the aquilas bonus back. It also helps CC the RG (and crowds)
Paragon 529 and still no furnace drop, so I am using Akkhan's Addendum and a hasteful Akarat's Champion. I have all 3 primary gems to 60 and Im basically farming blood shards and what not to get ancient set pieces, of which I have none. I was able to clear GR60 with a few minutes to spare, so while I do hate that the guy posted this and many other builds with pretty much zero "how to" (its really just a gear list, not a build) I still love the set up.
I typically play solo or co-op with my wife (DH)
Total viable at 70+ with few of your tweaks. Currently at GR 72.
