Build Guide

**Updated 8/14/2014 after extensive PTR testing**

This build requires a very specific gearset, but is very fun and works well at higher Greater Rift / Torment levels. The shift from using a spendor to pure Frenzy attacking requires a cautious approach to fighting, but with the healing bonus from Simplicity's Strength Gem (2% max HP per hit), this build will allow you to leap right into the maw and hack away with your best buddy ancients!

A few notes on gear selection:

Strongarm Bracers: Since you aren't going to be using 2 piece Aughilds, the next best thing is gaining the bonus from Strongarm. In addition to the Call of Arreat pull, pets can now also trigger Strongarms, so your ancients will trigger them by using various Barb skills.

Wrath of the Bone King: The newest version on the PTR allows this 2 hander to have 25-30% Cold damage. A clear winner since it will amp up ALL your skills / pets. With the new Ramalandi's Gift item, you could possibly see one with 10% Damage, Strength, Cold AND a socket on top of the boosted 2 hander base damage, leaving your Earthquake doing a ton of damage.

Hellfire Amulet: With the chance for a free passive, you open up the chance for Rampage, Brawler, or one of the defensive passives that are more situational.
If you cannot get your hands on a decent Hellfire, Haunt of Vaxo adds more crazy Barbarians to your horde! **If you have this and want to use it, you may need to mix in Death From Above rune to your Leap to trigger the stun.**

Legendary Gems: Depending on how many sockets your jewelry has, you will want to use these three gems, in order of priority: Simplicity's Strength (Bonus damage to Primary, 2% life leech @ LVL 25), Ban of the Trapped (Bonus damage to mobs effected by slows, 30% slow aura @ LVL 25) and Bane of the Powerful (Bonus damage after killing an Elite, 15% bonus damage to elites @ LVL 25). I chose this order for the following reasons:

Simplicity's Strength: Frenzy will become your main source of healing once the gem reaches LVL 25. 2% max health per hit adds up to a lot of health using Frenzy. The damage bonus isn't as important, since the majority of your damage will still be from Earthquake.

Ban of the Trapped: Earthquake will trigger 100% of the time on everything you encounter except for the few mobs that are immune to chill effects, giving you 20% bonus damage at rank 0. This effects the damage your pets do to affected mobs as well.

Bane of the Powerful: Speeds up clearing quite a bit, and bonus damage against elites is always desirable.

Enforcer is a nice Pet gem, but doesn't increase your own damage. Most of the damage being done will be from Earthquake. The pets are there to increase your crit chance by 10%, act as meat shields and add a little supplemental damage.
