Rings are all mix and match - select whatever you have the best rolls on. Same with whatever is in your offhand. Harrington vs Crimson is a personal preference. Hexing pants if you can stand stutter stepping! Focus on 60+% CDR, some extra RCR if possible, and let In-Geom do the rest! Seize the Initiative added to keep the speed up, and the bells rolling - especially with Zodiac. The key is playing on a difficulty you can maximize the IG buff, and not let that Torment X ego get in the way of efficient DB farming!

You can also hoard some gold with Gem + Avarice (could only pick 3 rings!)

Build Guide

Hello! Figured I would make a Diablofans guide since it is apparently the go-to place for builds these days! I previously submitted a PYW build that was featured on Round 7 ( http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/18382013/davloks-gong-mode-sriracha-edition-monk-3-19-2015 ), and have since updated and refocused the build for 2.3 and to farm Death's Breath solo! It isn't as good as farming Torment X or groups for gear or XP (since you can loot share, and get multiplayer XP bonus) so this is mostly for the solo-monk who has sporadic playtimes like me.

Essentially, I wanted a build I could farm with one-hand and not really pay attention to. Currently in the middle of dealing with a colic baby, so mostly relegated to solo (where i can pause) and would just be a drag on any groups. With the launch of 2.3, Death's Breath has been a VERY valuable resource. With Sage's Set adding +1 drop for every Death Breath, most 6pc sets were out of the question.. which left Raiment 2pc or Sunwuko 4pc. Raiment 2pc builds with Sage are VERY strong and can handle multiplayer in Torment X. So what advantage does Sunwuko have? Much easier gameplay! No need to monitor Shenlong's debuff, your spirit, focus+restraint buff uptimes, or needing to actually group enemies up with Cyclone Strike. Just clearing full screens at a time without any buff management (numlock ^_^).

Explosive Light hits everything on the screen... so I even use Zei's Stone to improve my screen clearing capabilities (diagrammed here: http://i.imgur.com/6QrVSmf.jpg ). Bane of the Trapped it a given, and the 3rd is a tossup between BotP, Hoarder+Avrice, Wreath, or a defensive gem. Build is fairly flexible too. I went with Relentless Assault as it is the best damage boost due to being multiplicative and having a high Blind/Stun uptime with Faith/Zei. Seph+Faith for spirit regen on top of CDR+RCR. If your toughness is insufficient even with Unity², drop to T6. Had an open skill slot I just used for Zephyr to increase movement. You can sub in for Fire Ally / Forbidden Palace for more damage or whatever you prefer. With amazing gear/paragon you could do T8 fast, I just did not find it as smooth sailing as T7.

Sample Monk Profile with this build/gear: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Davlok-1847/hero/37352765

In the video, I farmed ~200 DB in ~20min. On average with decent gear you can expect ~500+ Death Breath / hr.

Of course, you will find many more legendaries doing speed Torment X - 4 player runs with 2pc Raiment+sage, but then you can't pause when the baby cries! >_<
