I know that the 90% will not read the entire guide so i just tell u these few things: If u liked it pls vote +, so more people will consider it; if u didn't like it tell me your opinion or some hints. Below is written better how to use it, but actually the best combo is:


5 Dynamo stacks ----------->Hydra---------->Blizzard---------->Thunder Crash---------> 5 stacks Arcane Hydra.


Classic tal rasha + hydra item builds, the required are required :D


I'm actually trying the Steady Strikers (wrist) with 20% Arcane Damage for hydras (read below); that's 2 are raccomended but if u have 1 wrist with good stats, just use it: 20%Arcane damage; critical chance and att speed. More att speed u have more att speed hydras have!


focus and restraint: we all know they rock.


Pauldrons of the Skeleton King: it will save a lot your butt


In all equip u should roll 15% hydra damage and 15% metheor damage (where goes one the other there isn't)


I need to try enforcer I think is a lot of better then toxin, but need to up until 50, just to be worth it; but actually haven't a lot of time cause I need to give my last exam and i got 5 this session. The good thing of toxin is that it staks so if u have 4 toxin in team u have 40% damage more and that's just amazing; but enforcer give your hydras an incredible boost damage that's what they need !!!

It is important to be ever at 4 staks so u need arcane power and arcane regen for this is important Astral Presence and paragons on Arcane, after movement speed cause this one is worth it. I have tryed to not use the Astral Presence but at the second round of casting spell u go oom, and without mana no staks, no staks no damage.


The area damage is really important after resource cost, u will reach easily like 6B damage so if area damage proc u deal an additional 3B damage area.


The rest are pretty normal, in defense I use Life Regeneration cause I haven't on my wizard :D, but if u prefer u can use paragon on life %


P.S: in nephilim use gold find if u need gold!

Build Guide

Hallo guys this is my new build for wizard that succesfully work since I tested and i'm still testing it.


Why require good skill level?


You need experience with wizard and really a safe and good playstyle. Everything kill u, a skeleton arcer deal u more then half life with an arrow, so u must really be careful to your character; u you have to keep your eyes glued to the character and on stacks; with this build u must have 4 stacks of tal rasha active and cast Hydra with 5 stacks of Arcane Dynamo so need a lot of practice and at the start It's a lot of difficult to do this and to dodge everything is trying to killing you; for the rest is really fun to play and when u know how to play it u will deal TONS OF DAMAGE !!!

I tried the Temporal flux and It is really so Strong. 80% of slow means that nothing can reach u and proch the bane of Trapped effect too, but it has a big problem what we can take to insert Temporal flux?


So I tried with Unstable Anomaly, but we need it for survivability.It is really our only system out alive. The main problem of wizard is the frozen under our feet; we have resistance to survive at like everything but vs frozen It's impossible. I'm quiet good to dodge enemy hazards, but you can not reason with frozen and a dps should never die, especially if u have to cast 2 hydras charged at 5 Dynamo is a lot of time and damage wasted.


Astral Presence; we can replace it with Temporal Flux in only 2 cases: in low GR and in solo. The main problem is that there is a point where we could risk to run out of mana, It's a bit hard to explain but I'll try. Until we do the "perfect combo", I usually do 5 ADS (arcane dynamo stacks) + Hydra + Blizzard + Meteor + 5ADS + Hydra and after this at the end of talrasha staks we restart with Hydra Blizzard Meteor (cause we have already an other hydra placed) is OK we have the time of replenish our Arcane Power; but if happen something of unexpected (when ever in Diablo?) like mobs coming from a side or sthealts one or winged assassins (lacuni and all these cool nuisances) we will just be oom and useless with an inevitable death. I really love Temporal Flux but I have no place to put it IN :boom::boom::boom:

In low GR u can use it cause mobs are easy to kill and it burst your Hydra damage (except if u have a witch doctor)

In solo Ii is just what we needed and u must put in, cause 80% slow guys is really amazing!

Gem of Efficacious Toxin ----------> Enforcer

I tried enforcer and It was kinda what I expected: I deal for Hydra's hit like 300M (from 325M to 250M it depend from a lot of things like i writed below) the 30% (gem lv 50) is ofc 90M damage in more and until here i think everyone of us could calculate it; actually i reach easily 400/420M at hit, but the question was is better then toxin? So toxin deal 18/20M at second for 10 second and this damage doesn't stack with itself, but it stack with other players poisong and the 10% of damage increased (if 4 players have toxin 40% damage more), so is It worth use enforcer respect toxin? Yes except if u are playing with your clan and your enforcer is < lv 50.


-Mammoth Hydra damage is not increased by Enforcer


I want to thank everyone who voted my guide (positively and negatively), all those who commented and that helped me to discover new things, keep it up guys.


Why I use Zei :

-Zei + bane of trapped a combo fairly obvious

-Eveything is affect from Zei: primary skill, skills and metheor from talrasha, 30% damage on 3/4B is 1B more and that's a lot of damage

-With Zei Hydra damage increase is based on the Hydra distance from target, not the Wizard distance.

- U are a wizard !!!!!!!!


I learned to do videos, so gimme just a little bit of time and I'll do it :kirby:


Next tests will be:


-Temporal Flux, cause it's a control imparing effect and it apply the bane of trapped bonus

-Gogok of Swiftness just to see what happen :D

version 2.2.1 _____________________________Changes make life better__________________________________

Thank u very much to xxxpoxxx I could realize a better version of the build. So welcome to 2.2.1 verson so let's start to see the main changes:


Glass Cannon -------------> Arcane Dynamo

This is the main change thanks a lot to xxxpoxxx our hydras deal really tons of damage; but let's analyze better. 1)First of all we gain a little bit of survability and is not so low like u could think, cause glass cannon greatly increases the risk of deaths, to do an example " now we have the time to see a frozen under our feets and leave without die", imo it's a lot. 2)

With this build u exit from the scheme u are not anymore the classic burst damage wizard u are a DPS wizard, find your gamestyle use Arcane Dynamo on what u want I usually do: 5 stacks hydra Blizzard Meteor 5 stacks and Hydra; but it depend a lot from u, from the rift u are doing, situation, enemies; u can just go up fast on 3 staks and after cast a Dynamo Hydra.


FIND YOUR OWN WAY this is the most important thing.


If you think it slow our stacking of tal-rasha U haven't saw the Damage Output; It is simply a bit more complex, funny, swirling; but our Dynamo Hydras deal for shot more or less 250M, personal i reached 320M damage 1 shot, ofc it depend from tal rasha stacks Dynamo and Elemental Exposure and I still remember u they shot 3 times for hydra, so 2 hydras deal 1,5B damage. Now u need crit chance, crit damage and AS (attack speed), faster dynamo and faster hydra, a lot of more damage (u deal about 160M with prymary skill) to let this build shine; and u gain a lot of interesting tricks; some hints:

Before enter in a rift charge Dynamo, so when u enter u got the stacks. When u over to fight a group of mob on higher rift especially charge Dynamo. When u reach 4 tal rasha stack u got the time and the arcane power to cast an additional spell (this build especially doesn't suffer from missing arcane u are ever more then half) u can choose if use blizzard to proc the trapped/zei gems or to cast a Thunder Crash Meteor and teach them how to fly!!!


Meteor Shower ----------> Thunder Crash

The problem of Meteor Shower is that is too random, so it lacks of a constant damage, for this I really needed to replace it but there is the problem arose before about molten meteror, the cd is too much. So I needed to change my damages for talrasha. Here we are with the Thunder Crash and a new rune on Electrocute. Thunder crash is a good damage dealer spell AoE and his vantage is that after blizzard u can shot 2 thunder meteors like simultaneously (with tal) and the damage is really high; if u have high cc in your team like a Witch Doctor u can stack Dinamo at 5 and tart your combo with Thunder Crash instead then Blizzard.


Shock Pulse (Piecing Orb) --------------> Electrocute (Forked Lightning)

The main problem with the use of Thundercrash it to have a fire skill, other build compensate this with Mammoth, but we have a Gatling, we just shoot everything down, so we had 4 options in our primary skills, [cause I cannot touch our Blizzard It's our CC and a good damage dealer too and it help trapped/zei to proc], magic missle..... pls don't use this u never it once; shock pulse I sincerely like it only in Piercing Orb form; spectral blade... ahahahahaahh is it a joke right?; so electrocute and it's very good, cause it deal a little of AoE damage too and it has a fast animation that let your Dynamo stack pretty well.

IMPORTANT: when u play with a group (especially with inna monks :D) the skill bar of active effects does not contain all abilities, so it happen a lot of time that u lose the square of tal-rasha stack or of Arcane Dynamo. Well in this case for Arcane Dynamo when it reach 5 stacks there will be a particular animation like a wave purple underfoot; but for tal rasha u must know your damage and look at it constantly. I know is hard but is the only way u can to do to understand how many stacks u have and after u play a lot with a character u know your damage. For example if my hydra damage drop from 250/200M to 29M ok I have like 1 stack. So just keep training with this mechanics, for me too it's not easy and when u lose the count of your stacks u don't deal damage and it's hard after going to find wich is the spell that u missed, a lot of time for mistakes like this i need to consume all my arcane power :D

Ever remember the stacks appear on casting spell, not on hit; infact vs enemies with reflect u can spam out from target spells and cast an Arcane hydra to do damage for u (cause it isn't affect from reflection)


So that's all for this new version of build updated, again thanks to xxxpoxxx that gived to me the key and other good advices for this I reccomend to all of u to read the first comment below, because it is very interesting, by a player much more experienced than me.


I'm gonna to do new tests the first one is to try the Enforcer gem (an hint of a my clan members) to see how much is worth it istead the toxin.

I tried the paralyses Hydra with Paralysis and the Lightining Hydra, it work a lot with zei/trapped too u deal tons of damage, but I will make a build with delsere for it (I have an interesting supp wizzard frozen/delsere build to do, but time to time).

Try this build if u can and tell me what doesn't worked for u. The main problem of it is that with a black hole or a twister your meteors of tal-rasha hit ever all the group especially after a blizzard and u deal massive AoE damage cleaning all with Mammoth, but this is more thinked to let your hydra out.

version2.2.0 _____________________________ Novelties are sometimes Problems! ____________________________

What I mean by this?


With the realease of new wrists Ranslor's Folly all wanted to insert the twister on them build and I was once of them. I followed that good guide with Twister and Mammoth hydra + tal rasha, but I felt a little bit lower of what I could really be.

The problem of the twister is that it stumbles on anything: on an edge, on a hole, on the doors; then we are lose often the twister damage + the arcane meteor damage; moreover after twister and blizzard the enemy ever escape at tornado, or at worst they are immune to knockback (as some elite). This was the first point to fix.


The second point is Nilfur's Boast: my meteors can deal incredible damage... so why we don't use one of them?

Come on this is obvious, I would use the molten one, but it got 15 sec cd and is too much, so I choosed the meteor shower that work pretty nice and it give us the fire damage that we need!


But my novelty is HYDRA. Ok if u look stats seems that mammoth hydra deal a lot of damage more. WellIt's a bullshit.


The name of build is "GATLING HYDRA", here some stats:


Mammoth hydra deal on burning targer x sec from 50M to 70M damage, at second (this is important)


Arcane hydra deal for shot: from 70m to 130M that explode on a little area and 1 hydra shoot 3 of them for a total damage of 210M to 390M based on att speed of the pet (not at second).


It seems unreal but it's so. When u use 2 of them they seems Gatling that destroy everything and from an incredible distance, so damn fast that ghosts aren't anymore a problem.


Ok now u can answer me: ofc but we haven't cc like a twister or a black hole, so first of all with the wizard u play in group with usually a tank and supp that cc them for you, and second one: blizzard- meteor shower- hydra- auto- hydra: in 1 second u are at 4 stacks of talrasha and 1 meteor (they are 7) deal until 500M damage, yeah TONS OF DAMAGE. We are damage dealer it's not how work to cc, Just Kill them ALL!!!


And to over remember that the important of tal rasha build is ever to be at 4 staks!


If u have problem with Glass Cannon u can use Unwavering Will, or Blur or Temporal flux.

If u feel fragile u can change magic weapon with Teleport (i love reversal rune :D) if u are in solo, or in nephilim do it.


P.S: I'm actually testing it, I'm gonna to try with lightining hydra too + paralysis and I'll let u know, but really try this built and tell me how does it work for u, if u have any hints or critical, are all well accepted.
