Legendary Gems
Kanai's Cube
Jade Harvester:
(2) When Haunt Lands on an enemy already affected by Haunt, it instantly deals 10 seconds worth of Haunt Damage.
Zunimassa's Trail:
(2) Your Fetish Army lasts until they die.
(4) You and your pets take 2% less damage for every Fetish you have alive.
(6) Enemies hit by your Mana Spenders take 275% more damage from your pets for 4 seconds.
Options:
- -Midnight Feast is somewhat optional here, considering your Fetishes are doing most of the damage.
- -Gems: As an alternative to Gogok I'd recommend: Taeguk, Pain Enhancer, or Bane of the Powerful
- -If you have Belt of Transcendence, you can possibly trade Fetish Sycophants for Creeping Death (Not having to refresh debuffs gives you more time to use Haunt)
- -If you pick Haunt (Poisoned Spirit), I'd definitely pick Haunting Girdle so you still have 2 spirits
- -Your choice of helmet will depend on your playstyle:
- if you want to double your pets damage: Mask of Jarem
- if you want to double your Haunt (2) set ability damage: Quetzalcoatl
I like this build because of the Haunt + Rush of Essense + Fetish Sycophants combo. While spamming Haunt you are:
1) Doing the Jade set bonus extra damage with Haunt
2) Causing your mana to regenerate (nearly never ending mana)
3) Constantly summoning Sycophants
4) Haunt = Mana spender, so set bonus (6) of Zunimassa causes your pets to endlessly have 275% damage bonus
5) Reducing your damage taken because of the set bonus (4) of Zunimassa for 23 Fetish's; 46% damage reduction
Added Bonus: Since your Fetish's last until they die, this removes the ever growing need for the Starmetal Kukri. I've never had to summon my Fetish's more than once yet.
Also:
Gloves: I contemplated using Tasker and Theo for this build, but then I'd have to replace my helmet for the set piece, so you're basically left with the desision: 1) Increase my pets speeds 1.5% times with the gloves? or 2) DOUBLE their damage with the helmet.
Belt:I use the Haunting Girdle now so I can use Poison Spirit on two mobs at once, but I used to prefer the Hwoj Wrap, because the 80% reduction speed will spread to every monster rather quickly and it's easy for me to get away or re-position myself so my pets can take care of them, and rather quickly I might add.
Wrists: I like Krelm's Buff Bracers for the ability to resist stuns, vortex and knockback, but that's just me.
Piranhas: I prefer Wave of Mutliation mainly because of the reduced cooldown I can cast it more than Piranhado

I'm actually thinking of revising this to include either the Mask of Jerem or Quetzalcoatl instead of Zunimassa's Vision and pairing either of them with Zunimassa's Finger Wraps to test which would do more overall damage: 1) either double the Haunt Damage or 2) double the pet damage
I'm actually missing Zunimassa's fingers at the moment though so I'll have to wait to test it.
Thanks for the question about the Dagger of Darts, I actually need to remove that since I'm not using that skill, thanks
Ooh good catch, I forgot about the Belt of Transcendence
I updated the build and removed Hwoj Wrap
I also made a similar build but without Jade Harvester set, but WITH both Tasker & Theo and Mask of Jarem... Still testing it out though, I think I like THIS build better so far.
I'm liking the build so far, particularly that it's a pet build for the community-proclaimed 'laziest class' that allows you to be active in combat and, in face, makes your activity extremely strong. I am however thinking of taking Haunting Girdle and replacing the rune for Poisoned Spirit. I'm currently using the rune already, despite lacking the belt, and it's working wonders for boosting the output of my pets. Although I haven't yet been able to get very many of the items for the build itself so far. I'm currently sitting with only the jade head and 4-piece zuni, since I've been prioritizing getting Quetzal and had no luck thus far. Should I prioritize getting the 2-piece Jade's before getting Quetzal?
I agree with you about Haunting Girdle and Poisoned Spirit. I'm actually using that right now as well and am going to update this build to that.
As for your question, the thing about this build is it all falls into place once you have the 2 piece Jade and 5 piece Zuni (With ring of Grandeur). Until then, you pretty much have to get by with what you have. I personally use the Mask of Jerem and my pets do a significant amount of damage, although the Quetzal helmet works great for your DoTs even if you don't have the jade set bonus. I spent a lot of blood shards getting this set complete on my seasonal character.
Best of luck to you
What would you recommend as an alternative for Gogok? I personally don't like the gem, and the only alternative I could come up with, Taeguk, is pretty crappy all around. Also, I find myself using Locust Swarm very rarely as it seems to do nothing for the build by itself, and has nothing that specifically uses it. With Haunt+Piranhas, I find that my GoET is applied rather well on its own. Would it perhaps be better to use Big Bad Voodoo and run Starmetal?
Edit: On second thought, it would probably be better to use Gargantuan over Voodoo. I don't think the buff on Voodoo applies to my pets at all.
I've played around with Taeguk and Pain Enhancer. At least your Pets can proc Pain Enhancer so it might be a good alternative.
I agree with you about Locust Swarm. I typically don't use it unless there are a LOT of mobs in a group or in separate rooms. The thing I like about it is it will spread to creatures off screen, and if you keep up with it, will just keep going; also it has a chance to summon a fetish each time it spreads. I've played around with Grasp of the dead (does less damage than swarm), or Soul Harvest (my pets usually kill them before they can crowd around me), but neither seemed viable for this build.
I've also fiddled with Big Bad Voodoo, but I don't think it helps your minions either, and if you don't have starmetal kukri it won't help you much. Otherwise Slam Dance is the way to go. As for the Gargantuan, I've avoided using a 3rd pet type because I've already got 27 pets on screen and if he's stuck behind a fetish he won't do any damage anyway. I'd much rather have a good spell to use, I'll keep experimenting and let you know.
Alright, so, after doing some tooling around with this build, I found some things that could be changed to make this have way more damage. First off, Convention - you can trade it for Ring of Emptiness, since you insist on using Locust Swarm, to get a massive damage increase that applies to both you and your pets. It's about half the boost of Convention when cubed, sure, but the bonus is that your Fetish Army AND Zombie Dogs will benefit from it as well, so long as you keep up with Locust Swarm and Haunt.
Secondly, I notice that on here, you have Starmetal cubed - yet, you don't have BBV on your skills. What would you give up for BBV?
And, last point - why have Quetzal cubed instead of MoJ, when MoJ in the cube is a guaranteed 100% damage bonus? The only difference in their rolls otherwise is that MoJ has a guaranteed socket, but you can rather easily re-roll an otherwise useless stat for that.
