There are no required pieces, although Wormwood and Band of Hollow Whispers are highly recommended as it will grant a permanent 20% damage debuff to enemies and a secondary passive heal due to Haunt having the Consuming Spirits rune.

The gems listed can be added as gained if your trinkets have sockets in order to boost effectiveness.

The rest of the gear listed is just a personal suggestion / placeholders that boost the effectiveness of this particular build and can be used until you find an endgame build you can actually use. You do NOT need to actually have them.

Build Guide

*DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT AN ENDGAME / GREATER RIFT BUILD. THIS IS FOR FINDING BiS / SET PIECES AND GAINING PARAGONS!

This is a basic tanking / pet hybrid build with Poison damage in mind. It is very easy to use, and can solo T2 rifts on a fresh 70, making it easy to gain Paragon levels or grind for gear for newer players.

Basic rotation:

1. Summon Zombie Dogs / Gargantuan.

2. Haunt > Grasp of the Dead > Piranhas.

3. Plague of Toads.

4. Grasp / Piranhas when off cooldown.

Your main form of damage will be Plague of Toads / Piranhas / Sycophants.

- Rain of Toads has a very fast attack speed, which procs Fetish Sycophants very often (up to 15). Between dogs, Gargantuan, and Fetishes, you will have 10-19 pets active at almost all times during battle.

- Piranhas is a DoT that only does 400% of your weapon damage, however, the 15% increased damage buff it gives towards those targets allows your Toads and pets to tear through them quickly.

- Grasp of the Dead slows / poisons enemies, causing a 3s debuff to enemies' damage while slowing them.
