Build Guide
This build aims for 4 player groups which targets high greater rifts. If you want to play it in solo, you must swap Magefist with FB and RoRG with Unity (see http://www.diablofans.com/forums/diablo-iii-class-forums/wizard-the-ancient-repositories/93407-firebird-101-solo-wizard-greater-rifts for Solo play).Playstyle: Your tank keeps away the mobs from you while you stay at max range, casting hydra, BH and Blizzard. Use TP to get out of elite stuff.
Group composition: Tank (probably monk), 2 DH, you
Build: With EE you boost your whole party with at least 5% dmg which outguns Glass Cannon.

Force Armor feels weaker at first, but once you breach ~35 you will live longer.
You can have two out of CHC/CHD/Socket but not all 3.
Now, I have problems with the build and the fact Dfans posted it. First of all, people need to be aware Black Hole breaks Horrify from a tiki WD. which starts one shotting the group. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM - you can't run Black Hole with the dominant tank this Season: WDs. You can really only play BH with a monk, as suggested; but a monk really doesn't want to take you. DHs have better DPS and better survivability then Firebirds. There's LITTLE reason to stack CDR; yes, it increases black hole uptime slightly and your group, specifically the DHs, do more damage, although sadly you really don't. BUT you need to survive. Your dps is zero while dead and your Firebird DoT removed. You NEED Vitality on your gloves and 23% life in your helm. You NEED Life % on your shoulders and Life % on your belt to survive both Frozen AND Jailer on high level GRs. If you don't, your being carried.
it suggests Force Armor: then recommends Countless Julia's amulet to be immune to Jailer. This is contradictory; the only reason you'd run Force armor is to survive Jailer, otherwise Prismatic is the way to go(if you've got Julia's). The other thing is it makes no mention of the cold immunity amulet; which is easily the best of the immunity set and very much required to go past 45,if you want to stay alive.
That all said, I really would suggest running Force Armor combined with a solid cold immunity amulet and Vit on gloves, Life % on belt/Shoulders and +% max life. You may even need to put some points in Vitality to get enough HP to trigger FA vs high level Jailer. This covers you vs the main killers, Frozen,and makes you seriously resistant to Jailer and, less importantly, Thunderstorm.
If someone agrees to take you, I question illusionist when obviously Conflagration is better for group damage. Illusionist, specifically keeping up safe passage, does increases survivability slightly, but lets be honest: you wont probably won't be escaping Frozen in time unless you have the cold immunity amulet. Thats, and Jailer, are the ones that matter; the rest is pretty trivial to avoid or move out of.
The last and most serious problem with this build is it isn't disintegrate. Disintegrate is three or four times more damage then your run if the mill Firebirds. There's a reason that the Koreans are running it; its the only dps a wizard has that's that's really viable, only problem is; it's the very definition of a glass cannon. One mistake and you die. It requires a ZPDS WD because it's so fragile, but it often sees 900+ million damage ticks.
The build is misrepresented and deeply flawed. I've downvoted it. You should too.

Thx for the Feedback. I wasn't aware that BH breaks horrify from WD. No one of my friends plays WD :(. But yesterday i got the chance to play with one and I have to admit that it didn't work out well (we only managed to pass 42).
However, my group and I were able to pass 45 and it seemed we have potential to reach higher rifts. I will give a try on desintegrate.

i sense that this is a noob question and someone may be able to answer it easily.....it just seems i could easily take a shield over hydra and gain more survivability.
