Build Guide
Quin69 here!
>>>Patch 2.1.2<<<
02/02/2015
In my opinion/experience this build is currently the strongest possible monk setup for t6 speed farming.
This build is not optimized for Greater rits! if you want a build for pushing ladders check out my other >>guide<<

People WITHOUT flying torch:
Just use any two handed weapon with the highest DPS/Healing. (note: you will have to get more spirit regen or RCR)
FAQ:
Q: Why am i getting instantly killed g33+?
A: You need Unity equipped, and Unity on your active follower(with a "follower cannot die" relic)
Also! 1000+ All resistance | 16,000+ Armour | 350,000+ Health - Is a good amount to be around.
Q: Does the sunwuko 2 set scale with elemental damage?
A: Yes, the 1000% weapon damage proc grabs your highest elemental damage % then modifies the proc accordingly (all item damage cannot proc area damage)
Q: What gem should i put in my helmet socket?
A: Diamond. CDR = Dmg + Survivability!
Q: What normal gems should i put in my chest/pants?
A: Diamonds until your all resistance is over 800, Then the rest emeralds(dex gems).
Q: What follower should i use?
A: Templar. Why? Inspire (x1.1 ALL spirit generation)

as i said on your youtube video, Thanks! i love you man
Nothing really special on boots, but i updated it for you <3
you're not doing it for the gold broskeet, its for the Armour + movement speed
listed in both the guide and the video >_<
Movement speed on boots translates into more dex, because you use less points to cap MS to 25% ~ its not game-changing by any means but if you're running jewelry with 0 dex on it, then its very nice
Thx QUIN
I wrote off Tzo's and Boon/Goldwrap too soon in my testing.
It's more consistent than my build that Spicy linked, and ultimately faster by about 1/4 in nearly identical gear (ie, a 120 second clear is instead a 90 second clear, which is significant). Our core specs are identical, your build just pulls it off better.
Edit - Ok, so I understand now why you chose you Zei's over Taeguk. I'm not sure that I'm sold on Seize the Initiative. Is attack speed even a factor here other than just having your animations finish quicker? I would think that Determination is a better option or even Relentless Assault and Unity (group play).
Lastly, why isn't WH the preferred belt? I understand that Harrington will slow you down every time you go to open a chest, but I think that's better than Goldwrap. I think I'd rather have the DPS boost from a WH and substitute Harmony for Seize the Initiative.
The added Spirit efficiency significantly helped mitigate the absence of the Torch for now.
Quin, thanks a lot of documenting this so well! Cheers!
I am playing my monk since Saturday, geared him up until yesterday with your Lightning T6- Build and now i see this fire build.
My question now is (of course) which one is better?
I was wondering though: is there a viable substitute for Sweeping Wind? 6 seconds seem ridiculously short, and having to keep it up 100% of the time is not only difficult to do so, but also pressuring. I feel like I'm always being chased by something, staring at the duration of sweeping wind all paranoid.
On elite packs i need to spam like 5 bells to kill them. Almost running out of spirit on each elite if im not using epiphany. All white mobs are oneshotted.
That being said. My cindercoat only got 15% firedmg and my neck doesnt have fire dmg. So thats theoreticaly 25% fire dmg less. I guess thats where my main issue comes to play
Hi!
May I ask for advice? I'm a monk noob and got a Torch from a friend.
What to reroll?
http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/perperub-2689/hero/34521645
3610 DPS
1297-1624 damage
9% damage
1046 dex
1021 vit
DPS 3,351.7
+1367-1623 Lightning Damage [1177-1788]
+1090 Dexterity [946-1125]
Chance to deal 24% Area Damage on hit [16-24%]
Reduces all resource costs by 10% [8-10%]
Increases Wave of Light Damage by 30% [25-30%]
Monster kills grant +170 Experience [140-200]
Reduce the Spirit cost of Wave of Light by 46% [40-50%]
I was thinking about rolling the Lightning into Fire Damage but + Damage seems like it should belong on the weapon. Which one should I chose? Thanks for your thoughts on this.
