Stack as much cold damage as possible. I'll add extra break down of specific item stats if people like the build, but mainly focus on standard DPS stats and RCR (resource cost reduction).

Blackthorne's set is an option for extra elite damage/defense if using a RoRG, if not Haunt Vaxo is an option if your using the Zei's stone of vengeance. If you don't have any of these any cold damage amulet will work, I suggest Countess as I hate arcane orbs.

Pride's fall is a gear option to save on resource costs, but I'd prefer to use frost burn's gloves if I were using the 5 piece set of Marauders as it's sometimes hard not to take damage and take advantage of the buff.

There are lots of options for bracers, Reapers Wraps is the obvious best choice for more hatred "regeneration".

I threw in the unity as an option if your soloing and don't have pride's fall or frostburns gloves. I don't have either of these items, but not having to need to use a RoRG increases my overall DPS as its a shitty ring for DPS stats.

Any hard hitting 2H weapon will do, but Etrayu is the best with the cold bonus. I'm currently using a ancient Natalya's Slayer so I can spam attacks quickly for hatred regeneration (it's also stronger than any pre 2.1.2 weapon I had).

The Ruksack is needed for the quiver, as extra turrets is essential for hard hitting hatred spenders.

Enforcer can likely be swapped out for Zei's, I haven't had time to test how much my pets and turrets really still help with DPS, but I don't have a high level Zei's to swap out at this time. I still use bane of the trapped as polar sentries allow to keep enemies chilled most of the time.

Paragon Priorities

Core

Movement Speed
Primary Stat
Maximum Resource
Vitality

Offense

Attack Speed
Critical Hit Damage
Critical Hit Chance
Cooldown Reduction

Defense

Resist All
Life
Armor
Life Regeneration

Utility

Resource Cost Reduction
Life on Hit
Area Damage
Gold Find
Movement Speed is good in all situations > Maximum Resource is optional if you want to have a larger pool of hatred = Primary stat for damage > Vit.

AS lets you shoot faster, you can build hatred faster, and your turrets shoot faster (minor damage I know) > CHD = CHC > CDR tbh the small mount you will get out of CDR points is small in comparison of raw DPS stats. It's fairly easy to maintain five turrets and were not aiming for large up-time of vengeance without gimping DPS.

Defense is up to you but his is how I prioritize my points for a DH.

RCR to keep your clusters cheaper > LoH helps keep you alive longer > Area Damage is minor DPS increase > Gold Find

Build Guide

A build to help DH's adjust to the M6 changes without having a Kridershot. I found using Spines of Seething Hatred (free Chakram spam) very underwhelming compared to this build.

Basically you spam hatred generators and unload high damage hatred spender that is good a AoE that can bypass wallers with rockets. I didn't have to alter my gear in anyway with this change and can still take advantage of using my cold gear/gems. Place turrets on or near monsters and you can maintain easy 90+% up-time on monsters applying the chill effect.

Focus Fire is a great great resource generator for cold and it hits multiple targets (decent damage as well).

CA is the best hatred spending ability for cold IMO, the rockets are amazing.

Sentries are obviously needed.

Defensively you can use any ability you want, right now I'm just using SS as I'm still trying to get used to needing to fire again, I might switch to vault in the future. I'm using the reduced discpline cost for SS so I can spam it more if needed, healing vapors/lingering fog likely better options.

Companion is obviously used.

The extra slot is your choice, I like using vengeance for the extra damage and hatred spam for bosses, preparation is likely a good choice too.

All the passives I picked are mandatory except nightstalker (extra hatred regeneration), there are many options that can be used such as awareness for higher grifts, steady aim if you can maintain distance at all times (not 100% possible for me so I don't use it), Archery would be a minor DPS increase but the extra hatred generation from nightstalker might still be better. Numbing traps would also help for survivability as your turrets would reduce enemy damage output.

I prefer to keep cull of the week as a mandatory, you can usually put a turret on top or near monsters almost constantly and can then take advantage of the chilling factor along with bane of the trapped.

I hope someone may find this build useful as I found the first few hours of the patch frustrating as I was used to the lazy DH, any suggestions are welcome!
