New Portrait & Consoles
Nevalistis clarified that the new portrait released with the latest patch is not available on consoles, unlike what was previously said. See the post below.

But I personally don't think it is, since many people have killed Sir Williams already and didn't get the drop. You are correct; the portrait frame is not available on console. I was wrong. I did some digging and discovered that I misunderstood one of our internal communications that *all* new cosmetics were carrying over. The portrait frame is not available as there is no support for selecting alternate portrait frames on console.I think it's safe to say that it's not available on consoles and nevalistis made a mistake.
I went ahead and edited my original post to clarify this information. My apologies for the confusion!
Menagerist Goblin Farm Route
KaiaVex has put together a video showcasing her route for farming goblins, which is pretty useful for players who are reaching that point in Season 6 where they want to farm all the available Pets from the new Menagerist Goblin! Check it out. What is your preferred route?
Menagerist Goblin Farm Route
- Teleport to Northern Highlands, move in a circle and scout the area.
- Move North past the stairs into Leoric Hunting Grounds - goblins seem to spawn in the bottom half of the area.
- Then go to Southern Highlands, find Cave of the Moon Clan - in this cave, each of the two floors has a chance to spawn a goblin.
- Check Festering Woods - scout everything in a circular pattern.
- Finally, go to Royal Crypts, since this area's layout never changes.
- Go to Act 3 - Tower of the Dammed Level 1, move counter clockwise to not waste time.
- Next explore Tower of the Cursed Level 1.
- The last place to check is the Core of Arreat - super small area with good chance of a goblin spawn.
Just a note here: The goblins can spawn in any part of Leoric's Hunting Grounds. I've encountered most of mine at the top half of the map.
I would also put Southern Highlands: Cave of the Moon Clan as the first farming spot on my route as it has the chance for up to three goblins on the way (one on the way to the cave, and one on each of the cave's two levels).
I've just finished farming all of the new pets which drops from the menagerist goblins.
I found MOST of my goblins by FAR in the royal crypts. I ended up just starting at royal crypts and recreating immediately if I found one. On multiple occassions I ended up remaking about 4 times in a row, getting a goblin immediately.
Agree with Squishy, I also got more in the top half of leoric's grounds.
A spot not mentioned here is Leoric's passage. I got about 3 menagerist and 1 of my rainbow goblins in there: Start at Old ruins, then just move up until you get the passage entrance.
I stopped doing A3 areas, I seem to have a really bad drop rate there.
i found my first in a cave in desolate lands
Is there a preferred farm build for speed farming these? Chicken? or just any of the speed farm builds
I think the best for speed farming is WD with a manajuma set. Next would probably be the Raekor Barb, Crusader with a cubed swiftmount and DH with a Shadow's Mantle set. Wiz and Monk would be good with augments to their teleport and dashing strike. Don't quote me on the monk though I've yet to use this class.
A question: Does a menagerist goblin spawn only once per game or can you find multiple gobs in one game?
I've found 3 in one game before. I've only ever found one rainbow goblin per game though.
