Pig Sticker Inspired Knife
Joshua Ussery, also known as F1ghtmast3r, is a skilled knife crafter. Being a Diablo fan, and inspired by the in-game Pig Sticker, he tried to make a real life version of the dagger. He even gave away some details about it over at Reddit. Incredible work, sir!
1074 steel with corrian bolsters and tiger wood handle. Brass Corbys for pins. Convex grind.
Bane of the Stricken Guide
Quin made a quick video guide explaining exactly how the latest Legendary Gem, Bane of the Stricken, works - and its snapshotting properties. Check it out!
Well thanks for the Intel... i didn't know this.. Great video .. thanks mate
I like that there is some depht behind mechanics in Diablo 3 but why this is always hidden?
I had no idea Stricken had an ICD, only worked on the first target it and it snapshotted each time you zone, die or use a pot!
This is hidden stuff that shouldn't be hidden, like proc coefficients.... i felt like a retard playing hammerdin and losing Gogok's stacks on single target even if the gem was maxed.... then i read it procs off the coefficient of the spell.
Seriously, it's time to make advanced tooltips, well, advanced for real.
So i guess it's okay to snapshot bane of the striken but not hellfire passive...
@knife:
I wonder if it squeals annoyingly when you cut into a steak?
@video:
... *mind blown*... Ignorance is... was bliss. Though I'm not sure I could train myself to pot when I don't necessarily need it.
Good point to point out and some to be mad over, but... if youre terrible now, youre still going to be terrible. Knowing this wont change anything for you if you didnt have the capacity to figure it out yourselves.
@Ferari these high-end players do extensive testing and researching (sometimes other players do the testing and share findings on forum threads) to find out how these mechanics work. They usually have better results in GR results to go along with it, which reinforces the idea that they're right
I think they test it with trial an error. Equip something, try the damage on a zombie, remove it, test it again. As far as I'm aware there are no tools to easily test mechanics like these - just sheer curiosity and willpower
