Diablo 3 Character Optimizer, Diablo 3 Available On PS4 At PAX East, Joebo's Pet Doctor Build

REMINDER: We're still collecting and updating Gambling loot data in our forum thread

Diablo 3 Character Optimizer

D3maxstats is a site, which does perfectly what it says it does - it shows the maximum stat rolls for each item slot and helps you optimize your hero. The interface is very intuitive and you even have a few choices on how to display things. Aside from that you can also check out the other parts of the site which contain a full list of the set bonuses, special legendary item affixes and the skill proc rates of all skills.

Diablo 3 Available On PS4 At PAX East

D3's PlayStation 4 version is available for testing at PAX East and feedback so far has been more than positive. There are several pretty big improvements announced/confirmed at the convention:

  • Your friends have a chance of receiving a "gift" every time you get a legendary drop
The gift is a legendary item of their own that they can open on whichever hero they want to: the stats roll upon opening the gift
  • You'll be able to send items to your friends
  • Nemesis System: The monster that kills you can level up, jump into a portal and appear later in a friend's game
If your friend kills it, you get "gifts", if the monster kills them, it keeps getting stronger and jumps to another game randomly chosen from your friend's friend list.
  • Apprentice mode: if a lower level player pairs up with a higher level player, the system boosts the lower level player's stats so that they can handle the action
You still get the exp and items on both characters (each one appropriate to their base level, slightly boosted for the lower level)

  • Bonus experience is given for group play

  • Loot is distributed to the players that have priority by stat
All loot drops for everybody, if someone picks a Dexterity item it goes to the DH, if it's a Strength item it goes to the Barbarian and so on

  • You get a speed boost for destroying breakables

  • Massacre bonuses give more experience

  • Killing enemies with environment gives more experience

  • Massacres have a chance of dropping a Nephalem Glory globe

(Thanks, Levitz!)

Joebo's Pet Doctor Build

Now that pet builds are at their strongest, some very interesting ones emerge. This is the case with Joebo444's Witch Doctor build that he demonstrates in a Torment 6 Azmodan fight. It's not surprising that Azmodan is slain in 7.7 seconds - not only is the build extremely effective, but Joebo is Paragon Level 560 and makes sure he has summoned as many fetishes as possible while in town before going into battle.

Those systems would be epic in the pc version O_O Man I'd love all those things to be available. The monster and apprentice mode more specificly lol.

I know there aren't any final details on it, but PS4 players might be able to send items to friends? So, basically a trading system? And we can't do this on PC? Yeah, seems fair.
  • #3 BigEd781
Yeah... I don't understand why console players get trading and PC players don't (not to mention some of those other features.)
  • #4 paralleluniverse

Console players also get to hack items into the game. It's so unfair that we can't hack items into the game on PC.

Are you comparing exploits to features?

It's actually astonishing and IMO absolutely scandalous that PS version is getting such really COOL features as exclusives instead of putting them in both versions :S
  • #7 paralleluniverse

The point is items have no integrity in the console version since characters are not secure on a server. Thus, it doesn't matter what they do, even if they allow people to hack items as a new feature. However, the PC version is on a server, so allowing trading will allow 3rd party sites to sell items and is against their "self-found" philosophy--these are not considerations on console. I don't necessarily agree with no trading, but allowing trading on PC and console are fundamentally different things.

To be fair, PC players can also trade items. If what is mentioned also means being able to trade legendary items, that's another story - but it doesn't mention anything about that.

I have to admit, this was my first thought as well. Of course, you could always make the argument that their teams are split, they don't have man-hours to include features cross platform, but I must say - the cynic in me finds this very suspect. But who knows, maybe they have some of the PS4 features planned for the PC-version 2.1 or a later patch. We can only hope for now..

Last time the consols got a good system it showed up for pc later.

So he paragon 560? WOW! Someone cheated. Highest paragon level reachable right now without exploiting is like 475ish anyone higher than that exploited and should be banned.

I would love to know how you figured 475ish as the highest possible paragon. You're stating it like it's fact, but provide no additional information or proof of your claims.

Is the d3maxstats site down? I keep on getting a 403 Forbidden error.
  • #14 OneTrueTest
There are a ton of people way above his paragon level, just go to diabloprogress.com and you can see it there - to say that he cheated is just ridiculous lol.

WTB those systems for the PC
  • #17 Demonhoarde
Not really surprised by this. The console version of D3 was superior to the PC version when it came out, so i guess the same goes for RoS.

Going by their track record, maybe we'll get these features in the next expansion :fret:

I dont need to 1 bil xp an hour is too much with the amount the mobs gave. People doing 5 bil xp an hour runs though are the real cheaters there. All the proof I need is in the one guy that I know for a fact didn't cheat is 480.

You're clueless and should be banned from posting ever again. 560 is nothing, quite a few are over 650. Exploited? No, they simply farmed experience with the buff and play a lot.

I know I'm feeding the troll here, but you're making no sense. So someone you know who didn't cheat is 480, and therefore no one can be of higher level? It's not possible someone - out there in the big, big world - played more than him? Found a more effective way to farm exp than him? Have better gear and as such is more effective at farming? Come on now... don't be that guy. ;-)

It's cute that people are debating the legitimacy of the Witch Doctor's Paragon Level whilst they're ignoring an important fact:

Why is Joebo allowed to summon a tonne of Fetishes with Vampire Bat spam in town before going into battle? That seems silly and un-fun gameplay right there. I don't think that is at all the intended effect of the Passive.
