Blizzard is Activision's lapdog now and are completely out-of-touch with it's fanbase.
They totally deserve the backlash.

It's gonna be another new class DLC for D3.
I don't believe Diablo Team has manpower to dive in on a new game, so D4 is unlikely.
What the fu** do you expect ? A medal or something ?Quote from Cleglaw_Xendlar»
now, what did i said before? nothing will be at gamescom, and a big announcement at blizzcon. my words, again, proved itself true.
i also said making d3x2 is a stupid idea, and it will be surely something not-related to d3. also not a card game, not hd remake, not anything connected to those simple things. it will be a BRAND NEW GAME. you will see that i ll be proven right again.
Or maybe they just don't give a single shit to diablo anymore and all that theory that they are cooking something big for the franchise is just a silly dream.
If they intend to leave Falcon Wings in the game, I really hope they update it's texture. It's one of the worst textures in the game.
Actually, many items in the game need texture upgrades, because they look like they're from a 2003 game.
Very nice idea! But I still think 250% weapon damage too low for 4 piece bonus.
How about
(4) Set Bonus When you cast Black Hole you have 2 seconds to cast another Black Hole before cooldown resets. Enemies affected by the second Black Hole's explosion will be stunned for 3 seconds.
or
(4) Set Bonus Applies Conflagrate Passive Effect
or
(4) Set Bonus Every time you cast Hydra spell you have a chance to trigger a Meteor Shower on its location
or (I think this one is the best):
(4) Set Bonus Every time you cast Hydra spell you have a chance to trigger a second one randomly in a 16 yard radius.
(With Serpent's Sparker wand equipped you have a potential to have 4 active Hydras, since every cast has a chance to trigger)
Regarding the redesign on FireBirds, it's PTR and they are still getting feedback from the community, we got that.
But... for goodness sake.... that new 4 piece set bonus is f$#%ing useless...
No one, NO ONE will EVER put a signature spell on the action bar because of that bonus....
No... seriously, bring back the +500 int bonus back or put the f%$#ing design team to use it's brains.

I apologize for my ignorance regarding how damage multipliers work. So I ask... How big of an impact will this bring to invoker build ?

Wizard for sure! Specially now that Archon is on the stage again

I remember they buffing Archon damage from 20% to 300%, and then sinking it back to 30%.
Ok, everybody knows a PTR is supposed to test stuff, but for fuck sake... They just throw some absurd numbers randomly and expect things to work ?

I think your idea could work!
About the cross-game rewards, I hate them. I was looking at the wings from Overwatch, they look amazing, but I have ZERO intentions on playing that game. As a matter o fact I think it's shit.
I'm a big fan of Diablo franchise, been playing since diablo 1, still play D2, got vanilla and ROS collector's editions and ... I'll never be able to put my hands on those wings because I won't pay for a game I believe it's shit just because of the wings.
Same goes for Starcraft, which also has interesting cross-game rewards, but I don't like the game so I won't buy it. As a Diablo fan I feel punished by this for some reason...

I also posted my idea here, but it addresses only the problems of stash space and having to level another gem all over again when your characters share the same gems on builds. Please take a look and share your thoughts.
Now regarding the topic. I have the feeling that, when blizzard thought of Caldessann's, they wanted to target the ultra hardcore end game grinders, who were only farming paragons and getting bored. If they made it easier, it would lose it's meaning, no ?

The interface would look more or less like this:
(I do apologize for the poor Photoshop. It's all for the sake of comprehension)
Gem button to open gem tabs
In this example each person would have six options of the same gem. This would help in the case of player leveling multiple sets of gems depending on GR difficulty he's playing at (like RiffSphere mentioned)
If you wanna make Caldesann's upgrade, just select the gem you wanna use, put the piece of equipment to be upgraded in the cube together with ingredients and then transmute. The gem of choice will return to lvl 0 after transmutation.

About Caldesann's Despair conflict: Since you no longer need do drop another gem and level it again to a different character, i think it would be fair to, every time you want to "apply" that gem on a jewel, require some ingredients. To make Caldesann's bonus in this system you would select the gem slot you wish to use, put the ingredients + item to be upgraded, and after upgrading the selected gem slot would return to lvl 0.
About your stash space always being an issue: I agree with you. People will always complain about stash space. But at the same time I believe the "gem system" would be more clean and organized as a separated interface on Kanai's Cube. A bunch of gems scattered all around just seem to be lazy design in my opinion.

Just a simple idea I've got to eliminate the problem of legendary gems occupying stash space and the problem of having to level the same gem all over again every time.
One extra page could be created on Kanai's Cube, where you could select the desired gem (like we choose legendary powers), put the piece of jewelry we desire into cube, insert the gem, and that's it.
Each time you defeat the rift guardian a random legendary gem would be unlocked on cube. The leveling system would work the same way, but once leveled, all characters would have access to that said gem, without having to level it all over again, because you level "the power", not the gem itself.
Sorry if the idea is silly or if someone already posted it before. If it's the case, some moderator please proceed to delete the thread.
Thank you.

Hahahahahaha I guess I can say I expected this much...
Blizzard specialty is to make people excited and happy about something and then take it away.
But PTR is like this... things go as easy as they come. Also I think Cheng has a valid argument.
