Thanks so much for the responses! Magus I actually leveled for a long time with RoF back in the day and loved it. So when I decided to play the Wiz again I started using RoF Blizz after hearing about the buffs. I found your thread earlier this week and I read through and watched your vid. I'm excited to be playing something different from everyone else.
I'll start looking into life steal. I'm worried to swap armors but maybe I should just give it a try. I'll also take a look again at your build and experiment with it. Is Tal-Rasha's 4 set worth going for?

Just decided to drop my Monk in favor of my Wiz. I am currently running a Black Ice build and absolutely loving it.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
My question is what are some stat benchmarks for higher MP? What should I be shooting for when it comes to All Resist, Armor, and Health. I've heard for MP 5 and higher i should have at least 40k hp is that true or just for melee? Any help the Wiz community could throw my way would be great. Been a Monk main for so long would love to have some Wiz knowledge dropped on me.
I'm currently at about 500ish resist all (energy armor skill rune), 4900 armor (using energy armor w/o enchantress), and 104k dps with buffs. Oh and I currently ahve 17,000 gold so not asking for upgrades just for stat totals to aim for when I get the money. Thanks all!
EDIT: Just looked at the armory the belt is wrong I got rid of it but it won't update.

Just trying to figure out a good place to farm gold. I am really low on gold and can't seem to build up enough to gear my characters for MP higher than 2. I havea monk and a wiz I am working on. Anyone know of a good place to stack gold find and go nuts?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

You should change Blinding Flash for either Wave of Light or Exploding Palm which should make it easier to farm when undergeared.
I enjoy the CC aspect of Blinding Light. I don't know if I've ever actually used Wave of Light. I mostly am hunting Elite packs in A1 as I don't care that much about Paragon leveling right now. That said which ability is better against elite packs?

I think you can get at least a few pieces of good gear with 200k gold. Specially if you try to bid for stuff instead of buying them out (particularly on legendaries).
And a few hours farming Inferno/Hell should give you 500k-1mil, which is more than enough to assemble a good set (some legendaries are selling for as low as 20-50k gold).
The video below is a pretty good way to catch up on what are the good legendary items (with solid base stats and highest potential) for Monk.
This thread also has some insight on some of the changes since you were gone:
Thanks so much everyone! I had forgotten about TryHard. This guide helped a lot and I was able to pick up a cheap Wo Khim Lau for only 25k. DPS is still only about 40k but I'm able to A1 on MP2 comfortably.

Hi everyone just coming back from being out of the game for a while. I posted in the Monk forums for some specific class advice but now I am moving here for some general questions. I guess my main problem is I only have about 200k gold right now and feel like I'm facing an insurmountable gear wall. How do I ever get enough gold to purchase set pieces or legendaries? With my current gear what is the best place to spend my farming time(Which Act)? Below is my Monk:Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Thanks for any advice and help.

Thanks again for all the advice. I made some changes over the weekend and I am plowing through A3. I was really making it painful for myself with that S&B build.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
Now I sort of have a noob question. How do I get on the path to collecting set pieces? I see most high end people wear Inna's stuff. Do you farm that? Craft it?

@Kodaijin thanks. Yeah I am just looking to clear Inferno at MP0. Like I said I stoped playing before Paragon and MP were even implemented. I'd like to beat Inferno on MP0 then play with farming and increasing MP. I started doing shields when I couldn't really get very far into Inferno A2. I'll take your advice on the weapons. Problem is having next to no money since I've been gone so long.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
What would you recommend upgrading as a priority with my low budget?

So I've been gone from D3 since August and am just now getting back in. I feel like builds are different after several patches and just trying to re-learn what stats to priortize. I've done a lot of looking around online in the past few days but just looking to hear directly from other players. Just cleared Inferno A2 the other night with no issues and only died to two elite packs due to rusty skills more than anything.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
My question is What gear/stats should I be looking out for in order to clear Inferno?
I realize I could most likely upgrade my weapon and I am lacking crit damage. Please keep in mind I am not looking for advice on farming, just advice on what to upgrade to clear Inferno difficulty. So far into A3 I am having an easy time with elites and rares, they die slow, but they die.
My resists with OwE are around 824. My armor with Enchantress is about 5200 and my HP is around 27k. Lastly, I have about 1.5 million gold so I'm on a bit of a budget. Any advice on gearing and things to get through the rest of Inferno would be great. Thanks!
