Hmm... Thanks for the info guys... You're right i do need the gems... I think I'll start there and see if that helps my mp0 inferno alk run times... Looks like i may have to stick to WW then... I havent seen over 25 mil on this guy.... ;( appreciate the input fellas this gives me a few more things to think about...
hey guys, i really hate to put up another thread on what to do to convert over to a WT barb, but as my gear is different than others, i mainly just want to get a general overview of what to look for in gear in a WT barb, aside from the obvious WT% gear, and more specifically how i should go about upgrading for the build to be effective for me... i haven't tried the build out, because i figure it's better to ask around, and get some advice / better knowledge on gear before i make the attempt... my sig has my profile, but heres a link to my barb... any and all comments / info is welcome! (P.S., i know my gear is mostly toilet, but for the most part, i can easily do MP3, with the exception of dying to some shittier spec elites)
Aye... I suppose that could solve lots of problems... But at that rate where do you draw the line as to how long they stay reflecting and how long they don't? Too much of a window on both will be issues.... I think if the proc rate of reflected damage was reduced, much like the proc rate for run like the wind was nerfed a tad, that could also work.... Simply reduced the damage reflected slightly and / or reduce the amount of times the damage gets reflected
thanks cancerbat, that's actually a pretty good idea, which i haven't even considered... when you log back in, do you end up back inside the cave? is that what you're saying?
that's a valid point, Livingwater, escape plans are one of my main bamma jammas... i'll be playing a witchdoctor, so that will certainly be easy with spirit vessel / spirit walk... appreciate the input guys!
hmm... this doesn't mean that anything will really happen to it... though the pets not dealing damage to me would be splendid... it would also allow for me to get people revived if they should die whilst fighting... so that'll be an improvement... but like i said, if they don't exactly have any plans to change it, i can't imagine it'll be any easier, however, since i can get crits around 800k-1mil... that more or less just drains my health...
However, keep in mind, that Blizzard announced changes to the reflect damage affix already. It might take them a while to actually implement these changes, but you probably don't want to invest hundreds of millions now just to be able to handle reflect a little better. Also, these values only show, how much resistances and lifeleech you need to not take any damage from reflect, you won't actually restore any hitpoints in the fight.
There was a thread, which calculated this for a witchdoctor, if I recall correctly it was something like 8k armor + 1k physical resist + 3% lifesteal to migitate all reflected damage, regardless of damage output.
^this is what i was lookin for... Thanks! I dont know how a WD can get 8k armor though ;/ i'm also hoping to acquire a near perfect LS skorn... So maybe i can get alittle less armor than though... Otherwise i'll have to put horrify back in my build which i dont wanna have to do...
As we all know, '3% damage dealt is converted to life' doesn't quite convert 3% of your damage into life... but a smaller amount. I'm sure this was posted elsewhere, or on some other forum. my question is, does anyone know just how much of a % life conversion one gets in inferno? Looking to get into the life conversion business so I can attempt higher MPs (7-10) but I'm trying to figure if I'll survive
Does anyone else agree that blizzard should bring back the switch weapon feature? What if you have to utilize a space in your inventory for a weapon with life steal on it to battle reflect damage guys? This would also help use weapons that aren't perfect yet still bangin, just because it doesn't have life steal on it, since you can switch it to a weapon with life steal / LoH on it for fights which require it
How about it folks? Anyone out there able to do it? My WD is decent, but i can tell he won't be in MP10 for a while, if at all... I've seen monks and barbs soloing MP10... Wondering if there are any juicy WDs out there reppin their fellow WDs.... Post some vids if possible, give the rest of us some confidence!
I recall seeing a post on some random ass site, of which the poster did a bunch of tests with most of the WD skills in regards to which benefit from LoH as opposed to life conversion, and a percentage for how much LoH you truly received from those skills which utilized it... I don't know how accurate the readings were, or if they still apply... But burning dogs and big stinker both proc'd 100% LoH, per target hit... So 4 pets with a passive AoE that each proc your LoH per pet, per tick, per per target... In other words... They are massive leech beasts stacking you with HP... Also good for bosses and elites... There was speculation that that was merely a glitch and only a handful of people could do it...
I also use restless giant... He stays alive longer for me... Especially against elites and bosses... Just a side note ;-)
