I have been farming whimsey for quite some time and have been getting horrific loot from there. When I farm act III or IV I get patterns and the like. My question is, is Whimsy on the same loot table as act III / IV, ie do jc patterns and such drop as they have for me in act IV, or is the loot table relevant to the act I loot table with act III /IV difficulty only? Any solid information would be greatly appreciated.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands

My wife bought me a Razer Black Widow Ultimate for Wow on fathers day. I am curious about these macros and would like to know if there is any way you can macro into a mf set now that I am hooked on diabloPosted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands

I am a glass cannon as well. If I die with my lowly 13k health, its because I went ballz to the wall and didn't realize the mob set was a reflect set. I suggest exactly what faithful does, but backwards lol. CA w/ CB rune 2x's. Right before they land or hit the mob, you SS. Run back, pop a couple shots, potion if you have to, repeat. I get into trouble sometimes as well because HA will crit and one shot me when I'm trying to build hatred back. I rarely die to these mob sets though, so I am speaking from experience and know this works. I farm Act 4 with my eyes closed....Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
Anykind of tanking method I think is lazy. I'm not trying to troll, but I feel that a ranged class should stay relatively ranged. I give props to those that have the money to reinvest in all that gear, but if you follow just a couple simple steps, you can gear out for under a couple mil like I did, have 75k/168k dps, and melt mobs like buttah. All it takes is a little timing, understanding enemy animations, and use of your God given reflexes. Just depends how lazy you are.

So this is my first post on these forums despite me reading them since the launch of d3. I started off with a barb bc I thought they would be op initially. I was wrong, and because I could not afford the gear that was needed to be op, I switched to the dh right b4 they "fixed" NT. Since I heard you could melt mobs with relatively little gear, this was my motive for the switch. At this time dh's were known for their glass cannon builds so this is the route I took. I haven't looked back.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
I testify by s/s so my dps is at 71k/168k. My stats are 13k life, around 80 resists, and about 2700 armor. Offensive stats are 2226 dex, 17% crit, 190% crit dmg. I have no legendaries outside of andy visage. I have a 1398dps xbow with 6%you asi that I bought for 75 bucks since I didn't technically pay for the game and is the only purchase I have made on the rmah. I have max disc on my chest and quiver. Outside of the bow, my stats are easily obtainable. I melt mobs like butter.
I get one shotted if I get hit, but if you play through any difficulty and learn the mobs, you should never get hit unless you have high latency... I farm act 3 and am making back the 75 bucks I spent on the bow very quickly. Glass cannon builds are very viable and fun to play; they are also very profitable. I can clear all of act III in about 1.5-2 hours depending on affixes. Speaking of affixes, if you would like help on understanding how to overcome certain combinations, or at least how I do, ie reflect - throw two cluster bombs, stealth just before bombs hit, watch mobs melt, rinse and repeat, just let me know and I'll be glad to help or create a new thread with strats for various combinations. The example I give is obviously more tedious than that, but you get the jest, and I do not skip mob sets.
Melee classes were meant to take hits and such is the reason for their passive, dh's do not have that luxury henceforth why it is more expensive to be a dh hunter tank rather than a melee tank. I hope this info is helpful and will be willing to help in game if needed. GL!
