posted a message on Offhand damage for wizard and wd
I was just wondering if the damage range on offhands are lower now compared to pre 2.0 ? I just can't seem to find any new offhands with 300+ damage and when I hold ctrl the max dmg is like 130 on my loot 2.0 zunimassa offhand. Does anyone know if there has been any changes to the offhands or have I just been unlucky with all my drops ?

posted a message on Legendary drop rate
Its not about what is dropping but from where, I feel like they have reduced the drop rate from chests cause I got way more from chests during the weekend that I have did last night and today. During the weekend chests were the main source of legendaries for me and my friends but today we havnt gotten one from chests. That is strange compared to our experience during the weekend and last week.

I've only gotten like 4-5 legendaries in 8 hours of farming and my friend is also having the same problem. It might just be bad luck but I usually have bad luck so it should be pretty normal. :P

Has anyone noticed reduced drop rate from chests in the past 24 hours ? I feel like i've been getting way less legendaries in the past 24 hours and I think it's because im not getting any from chests like the past few days.

If you have relentless and you are down to 21% hp then you get hit for the rest of your hp with a fireball relentless will do nothing and you die. If you had superstition and 20% reduction would mitigate enough for you to survive that would be the better skill. Superstition is also number that doesnt move while relentless is only usefull while under 20% how often are you really hanging around with 1-20% life ? I would say superstition is far more valuable overall compared to relentless wich I rate as a useless passive.

You're describing a pretty specific scenario yourself, you fail to take into account that Superstition only works for non-physical which makes it as situational as relentless.

But what hurts the most in act 3 and beyond ? I would drop tough as nails before dropping superstition atleast.

and to Solmyr there really is no "everyones" spec no matter how you try to twist it.

Sure you can't make absolute statements about such things, that's why I put it in "". But given that I left one skill open, that should be the one most viable Inferno spec before you outgear content or group up to make things easier. Sounds pretty absolute again, but I consider this to be true and it's usually more effective advice to say "do x" instead of "maybe you could try x and see what happens, but I'm not sure" ;)

Fair enough. I do (friendly) disagree with your given choices as well in that spec, in active and passive skills :P Since one could easily argue for example Relentless being far superior to Superstition, but this is just an example.
As a general guideline that spec DOES work though, but it's far from being the optimal choice.

If you have relentless and you are down to 21% hp then you get hit for the rest of your hp with a fireball relentless will do nothing and you die. I have 60k hp,43% block, 37kdps and 1k all res when farming. If I need some more defense I will just pop my helm of command back on for more res and block.

To get these stats you need the close to best gear currently available. Probably in 50-100mil range total cost.
DH needs 2-3 million to farm act3. And he will do it a lot faster.

Do you see the difference in class balance now?

Actually im doing runs faster than my dh friend so I dont see the problem :)

Makes sense. What would you recommend as a minimum value for loh to stay topped off most of the time?

You don't need LoH till you replace all your items with to reach under warcry 50-60K hp/ 700-800 resist all/~1K phys resist/~10K armor. LoH items are probably the most expensive once, so instead of buying 1-2 of them you can upgrade your full set and results will be plenty better then with 600 LoH but gimped primary stats.

Totally agree with this, life on hit is the last piece of the puzzle to put the icing on the cake. :)

I think the enchantress is the best option for the 10% armor buff you get. I currently have barb, monk and wizard on 60 and I still like my barb the most.

I havnt really noticed any differnce in my act 3 farm runs after the Tyrael nerf so im not that worried about how the barb is working. I think the barb is fine and when you get good gear you will probably farm faster than dh and wizards. I have 60k hp,43% block, 37kdps and 1k all res when farming. If I need some more defense I will just pop my helm of command back on for more res and block.

Get some blue 70 vit + 50 all res rings to get a nice boost on those stats.

Those rings won't have 11% block or loh then. So I'd consider them only a temporary solution. LoH in general shouldn't be zero.

Well he doesnt have a justice lantern and to buy one he would have to pay considerably more than for the vit all res ring.

Your hp is way to low, your armor and all resistance need to be bumped up aswell. Try looking for some chromatic archon armor pieces with high vit and all res. You should also switch your last dps passive for superstition to get the 20% dmg reduction against ranged and elemental attacks. This really helps against all the affixes that the champions have. Oh and your neck + rings should be replaced asap with those stats.
